Colonoscopy

I’m due to have a colonoscopy the week after next and as I’m on flecainide (50mg x2) and bisoprolol (1.25mg) would appreciate some advice. I don’t think I need to stop the medication before the procedure, so I’ve read but does the midazolam interact with the drugs in any way please.

I'm going for a CT colonoscopy next week I'm really apprehensive. I have long covid and contracted diffused vasculitis through this. Looking for reassurance really. TIA ❤

Post colonoscopy

Well, the dreaded colonoscopy has been done! I think the prep stage and the starvation and no fluids was worse than the actual procedure. I had gas and air (as I have bad reactions to the sedative) and they found 4 pre-cancerous polyps which they removed.

Colonoscopy yesterday

I'm 54 years old and had my colonoscopy yesterday when I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. I had my CT scan today and waiting to find out if it has spread. My biggest fear is needing a stoma bad after surgery. Help, I'm panicking!

Clear Colonoscopy

Has anyone had a clear colonoscopy, in which the bowel looked normal, after taking Budesonide and Methotrexate? I have Chron's and was in hospital for five days over Christmas with a really bad flare. Does this mean that the Chron's has gone or is just remission?

Colonoscopy

I am having a colonoscopy next week at 2 o’clock so won’t be able to eat that day. Should I take my 13.5 Prednisolone without food or wait till I get home? I haven’t received the information pack from the hospital yet so not sure of the details.

Colonoscopy

Hi everyone I have a colonoscopy on Tuesday 14th. I’ve had one before this is a polyp check. I was wondering does anyone have any advice to make the whole thing easier prep and procedure. I’m worried that as I am a very large lady they won’t sedate me, any experience. Thanks everyone.

Colonoscopy results

I had my colonoscopy on Wednesday. I have Colitis. I know having Colitis is not the best news but it was better outcome than the other C word I was expecting so I’m very pleased. Thank you to the this group for all the support.

Colonoscopy over

You have to have the colonoscopy to check though. Good luck to all who are waiting for their procedures.

Very worried, can't sleep, waiting for biopsy result

Hi I am 33 male I had mucus and blood in stool, and my doctor sent me for colonoscopy. So I had colonoscopy yesterday and they found and removed 2 small polyps and 1 larger polyps. Now waiting for the biopsy result, may takes few days to a week for the result. I am very worried about this!

Has this happened to anyone ?

Here the bleeding wouldn’t stop it consistently went on for nine months straight so they sent me for another colonoscopy in may came back with the same results. My bleeding had went away for 9 months after that colonoscopy an now it’s back again.
