I had a colonoscopy last year 19th Oct 24 they sent my results to the wrong doctor's practice well today they sent me photos or x ray results in the post to me today as if I am medically trained to know what they mean but what I could just about make sense of it was normal!!!

For all a-fibbers worried about what effects a colonoscopy would have on a-fib, mine turned out to be a success. It was done on Friday and of course I worried needlessly about going into a-fib. In fact, I spoke directly to my heart, telling it to behave! It did.

I could not get it cleared up in time for the colonoscopy next week so they cancelled it as too high risk. Eight weeks after a flare is required. Last CRP Nov 1 was 30, so something is going on, highest yet. So I'm going back up to 5mg indefinitely. 2.5 I rushed and it isn't enough.

However, on having a blood test it was discovered my haemoglobin has dropped significantly and now they want to do a colonoscopy to check for any bleeding..... I am certain it is only since I started on the blood thinners I have had this problem but no one seems to be listening.

A colonoscopy isn’t painful but simply an inconvenience. I’ve had 2 in 5 years and polyps were found in the lower bowel and removed. And the last surgeon photographed one to show me. They just look like little thumbs. Please don’t worry, it will probably be just fine.

I’m waiting on a colonoscopy. The right sided low down niggly pain seems to be there mostly before a no2 and sometimes lingers just after it, it’s annoying. Had it for awhile now and waiting for the colonoscopy still

Hi I’m getting my first Colonoscopy soon for suspected IBD. Do you have any tips for how to manage the prep beforehand, can I drink anything alongside it to help the awful taste, does a straw help? Does keeping it in the fridge help, any tips at all?

Hello all you lovely ladies 😊😊😘 I had a colonoscopy in July. This colonoscopy was absolute agony, and during the procedure the consultant said the pain was due to my bowels being stuck together.

I know this is not Afib related but has anyone had a colonoscopy with conscious sedation. Was it painful. Also trying to sort out what to eat the days prior to having it . It's a nightmare. Hopefully it won't trigger a Afib attack.

hi everyone, Just an update on my husband colonoscopy which was yesterday, all went well no issues whatsoever, took a few small polyps 10 mm , so still no nearer to what’s causing his low iron, he also had a transnasal oscopy so all went well, I’m just waiting to see what happens next about his iron

i have a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. Since I can’t have any food tomorrow morning, should I just go ahead and take the Nubeqa without food or just skip that does? Thanks! Robert

A week later it started up again, now on Augmentin for 2 weeks, ending a week before the colonoscopy Jan 15. Maybe the infection is gone but not the inflammation? The defect is very low and the swelling could cause a failed colonoscopy. I'm down to 2.5 prednisone, still symptomatic but not bad.

Have my prep tomorrow for a colonoscopy and have been given Picolax, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about this one with some people saying it didn’t clear them out fully.

I was wondering if anyone was given Picolax only for their colonoscopy and if it worked ok for you and how many sachets you were given (I’ve only been given the 2 sachets)?

I've already swallowed a pillcam and had a virtual colonoscopy 1.5 years ago. A regular colonoscopy doesn't get into cecum ~ not test does! Thanks for any ideas here ~

I am due to have a colonoscopy next week and when I made the Dr aware in my pre-op telephone call of my device, they mentioned turning my device off. Obviously this concerns me and they said they would be contacting the HF clinic.

I’ve got to have a colonoscopy, with three days of a low fibre diet as part of the preparation. The hospital has given me a list of foods I can eat, but at least half of them aren’t gluten free or the gf equivalent is higher in fibre.
