Recent surgery surprise!
Checked for haemerrhoids/
Colonoscopy
but nothing inside the bowel. I have been on a waiting list for a Hysterectomy for 2 years. Had the surgery last week. Had to get second operation to address post operative internal bleeding.

Had a
colonoscopy
which came back inconclusive and was due to have other tests start but suffered multiple unprovoked pulmonary embolisms in both lungs- it’s taken about 18 months to recover from that and have tests start back up again as symptoms have gotten much worse - I get cramp pains in my stomach

Unsure what’s causing it, but need to have an urgent
colonoscopy
. I have ankylosing spondylitis, and inflammatory bowel disease is very common alongside it. I’m wondering if being off my immunosuppressants so long, has possibly unmasked IBD.

Chronic Pain,and fear.
Another is I keep being asked about having a
colonoscopy
which I had some years ago and was agony, they found I had this disease with a CT scan with contrast, which I’ve been told is better because it’s less invasive.

Acute stress reaction
Adding to that I have to have a
colonoscopy
to be screened but am now having symptoms myself. I go this week for it but am struggling with anxiety right now. I can’t stop thinking about all the worst case scenarios and worrying about my sibling. My provider put me on both Xanax and Prozac.

miracle treatmen for IBSd
Having ruled out other causes for my IBSd through dietary changes ,
colonoscopy
,FIT testing etc I can’t believe it’s taken this long for BAM to be identified as the cause. GPs over the years have only suggested Fybogel and probiotics which cost me £40 per month.

Constant lower Back/Left Bum cheek pain
I've had tailbone mri, xray, steroid injections,
colonoscopy
in case it was something else. Nothing else showed up. I also have constant pelvic pain but I've learn to tolerate that. But I can't deal with the lower back/bum pain. Is there anything that has helped any of you to remove this pain?

Have a SIBO test, abdominal scan and endoscopy/
colonoscopy
lined up. I’ve also considered a GI Map stool test but this is difficult to organise where I live. i was operated on for peritonitis 13 years ago so am also considering ileocecal valve issues.

I passed blood for 3 days and had abdominal pain for a year now, had blood loss from bowel end in April with excruciating pain so referred for
colonoscopy
, endoscopy and sigmoid and only found polyps in stomach that aren’t a worry or concern to cause bleeding.

Radiation Proctitis looking for advise please.
I have since had a
colonoscopy
that confirmed moderate radiation proctitis in my rectum. I am going to have Argon Plasma coagulation (APC) with application of Purastat . I have been told I may have to have it a few times. I wondered if anybody has any information/experience of this?

Stress on liver?
I’m wondering if having a
colonoscopy
and endoscopy would put a lot of stress on an already compromised liver. Would the anesthesia drug they use harm the liver? Anyone have experience with this?

RA Microscopic colitis investigation update.
Well I had the
colonoscopy
2 days ago with sedation/gas and air so they say. Me no way 😩 anyway won't go into detail about the test and the bowel prep 😱 4 samples of the colon was taken so now the waiting game for results. At least if the results are positive it can be treated.

Tenesmus etc
I had a
colonoscopy
last year which found some diverticulosis, although when recently my GP examined me, this was not found. I started sulfasalazine last October for my RA and over the last few weeks my bowel habits have worsened - very soft stool, bouts of diarrhea and tenesmus.

Any advice for gastro symptoms which respond to steroids, but no diagnosis? Does normal colonoscopy cover the small bowel?
My main question (apart from if any insights anyone might have) is – do people know if the small bowel is inspected during a normal
colonoscopy
? Is there any point in my going back and asking for a capsule endoscopy to inspect it in the vague hope there might some answer there?

colonoscopy prep with nafld nash
I’m wondering if anyone else has had trouble (due to liver disease) with
colonoscopy
prep. Not fun for anyone…but I got so sick last time it took my liver over a month to calm down.
