Week 6 R3
The running bit was ok....nice & steady, but about 5 mins in I thought my
colitis
was going to catch me out and I'd have to dash back to the car or make like a bear in the woods . Fortunately things calmed down, but still left me anxious during the rest of the run.

Please have blood tests if taking medication - Pentasa.
My GP prescribed me Pentasa for my Ulcerative
Colitis
. I took this for approx 10 years. My GP never requested any blood tests in this time. This medication was slowly killing off my kidney function. In 2017 I was admitted to hospital with a 9% kidney function.

Obtaining T3...🙄
Hi everyone 💓 Well this is going to be a rant..I've been pushed from pillow to post with my thyroid medication since full thyroidectomy in 2019 (graves thyrotoxicosis), I'm lactose intolerant and have
colitis
and IBS although I think the IBS is actually the
colitis
gp only gave me IBS tablets 😠.

Colonoscopy result
I was handed a report indicating diverticulitis and biopsies taken to exclude microscopic
colitis
. No mention of polyps or masses I briefly asked him about results. He just said the scope went well!. Thanks

Seeking recommendations for reproductive immunologists or clinics in the UK
I have autoimmune issues (hypothyroidism,
colitis
and allergies), so I would like to do some immunity tests to see if this might be an issue. Our clinic doesn't offer these. Could you please pm me with your recommendations for reproductive immunology specialists and clinics in the UK?

Calprotectin level 1500
Have been prescribed Prednisolone tablets, Octasa tablets and Ad-Cal. Shocked at how many I have to take every day, on top of the meds I already take.

Are enemas with prednisolone available in Scotland
Hi My husband has lived with ulcerative
colitis
for many years. He is currently experiencing a flare up and had a sigmoidoscopy today. The doctor has decided to treat this flare up with enemas containing prednisolone.

Struggling with Bronchiectasis
I took this for a year and it helped enormously but I developed Ulcerative
Colitis
and had to stop taking it. Since then my Bronchiectasis has been fairly well controlled until this year.

I have widespread diverticulitis which has aggravated my ' focal active

colitis
might be self-limiting. This was news to me as I didn't even know I had

Back for a second time
One of the big ones being diagnosed with Ulcerative
Colitis
7 years ago, which has somewhat curtailed any thoughts of running - especially in the early morning, which was/is my preferred time as it fits in with life. Anyway, I've been feeling a bit better recently, so have started again.

Back after 10 years of remission (Safe Bloating & constipation relief)
I havent until this time suffered with the
colitis
, but have had a lot of acid reflux & anxiety attacks. Something I am also getting used to dealing with but has been a big learning curve.

How was you first told you had IBD and how are you now?
I wrote “Ulcerative
Colitis
” on the packet, just in case I forgot what it was he had said i had. And that was that my IBD journey had started. Today I have had many operations that have taking many bits of me away.

Ibrance = Colitis?
I’m just getting over my second bout with
Colitis
. My Dr had me stop Ibrance until I’ve recovered. He said it can be a direct cause of this very painful disease. Has anybody had this experience. Have a blessed day!
