Tired and Drained
I may have
colitis
or maybe I do actually have crohn's. I barely go out anymore and when I do I face all my own issues paranoia and fear. There was a time when I handled my nutrition such better but there are complexities around this.

Mesalazine…or not?
Hello, new on here. Lifelong IBS but colonoscopy in 2020 showed mild IBD. Haven’t needed any medication yet. My specialist has suggested I start taking Mesalazine but I’m worried. Azithromycin and IBD
I have Bronchiectasis and I also have developed Ulcerative
Colitis
since that initial diagnosis. At the time it was thought this might have been linked to me taking Azithromycin as a prophylactic for a year. Although no definite link was established, I was taken off Azithromycin.

Blood and Mucus in stool
I had a colonoscopy a year ago, which indicated
colitis
and proctitis. I've had bleeding mixed with my stool before the colonoscopy and it is now a year later and I still have bleeding. It is starting to get worse, accompanied with a bloody mucus jelly.

Update
She seems to think its ulcerative
colitis
as my symptoms have not gone away. I'm not to sure its that though.. I have pain on the right side of lower abdomen and burning pain in abdomen and chest and upper and lower back ache. Very worried is an understatement.

A lot of misinformation and docs gaslighting doesn't help things...
Now this is two years after I was diagnosed with ulcerative
colitis
, so i sometimes wonder if that, and the steroids i've had to take for it, and the weight gain from it, has anything to do with this. who knows.

Any guidance on having chemo as a ulcerative colitis sufferer?
I was diagnosed with ulcerative
colitis
about a decade ago and, through careful management and medical support, have kept stable with it. Many of the possible chemo side effects appear to resemble UC flare symptoms eg fatigue, digestive issues, mouth ulcers etc.

Please have blood tests if taking medication - Pentasa.
My GP prescribed me Pentasa for my Ulcerative
Colitis
. I took this for approx 10 years. My GP never requested any blood tests in this time. This medication was slowly killing off my kidney function. In 2017 I was admitted to hospital with a 9% kidney function.

Week 6 R3
The running bit was ok....nice & steady, but about 5 mins in I thought my
colitis
was going to catch me out and I'd have to dash back to the car or make like a bear in the woods . Fortunately things calmed down, but still left me anxious during the rest of the run.

My Dad's PSP Journey
I should mention that he takes medication for ulcerative
colitis
which thankfully hasn’t flared up since the PSP diagnosis. His urinary incontinence has progressed to the level where most of the time he doesn’t realise he has urinated. He wears an adult nappy 24/7.
