Back pains
I had a lower left lung lobectomy 11 weeks ago with no real complication. I have now started chemo and had my first cycle 2 weeks ago. All was ok with that apart from feeling tired and fatigued. I am having pains now in my sides where as when I bend down they really hurt mainly around the base of the

New 6 mm nodule at 27 months post LLL lobectomy
This one is a solid noncalcified nodule in the upper right lobe along with a new borderline subcarinal adenopathy. This info comes from the radiologist report. I meet with my oncologist in two weeks. My internet research leads me to fear that it could be a regional metastasis from the adenocarcinoma

That is how I feel right now! My story... had a right thyroid and isthmus removal due to a benign 3.6cm adenoma in 2013, was presenting hypo symptoms but TSH “normal” never given any supplement. Still symptomatic 1,2 and 3 years later, diagnosed with vit D deficiency ( 3 month high dose supplement

Thyroid surgery
My endocrinologist has just recommended I get a lobectomy. I have one benign module and one module that has been identified as suspicious by genetic testing so he says there is a 50% chance that I have thyroid cancer. I am not interested in having surgery if I do not have to! I have chosen for now to

Pain following Lobectomy
Hi, I have recently had a left upper lobectomy. I just wanted to know how long I will have the pain. Painkillers keep pain at bay most of the time, but at night I get really sore. Also I have low blood pressure, which is making me really lightheaded and dizzy, is this usual. Thanks.

NSCLC operated in March, starting chemotherapy on Monday
Hello, I'm new here. I'm about to start chemotherapy this Monday using Cisplatin and Alimta. I had a 5 cm adenocarcinoma removed from my lung during an upper right lobectomy this March and have recovered well physically. My tumour was discovered 31/01/2019. It is apparently stage 2a and has not spread

Hello all, I have the above which causes hyperthyroidism - I am on 15 mg of carbimazole each day which completely keeps me stable. The goiter has not grown at all from when I discovered it and it is benign. It causes me no discomfort with swallowing or breathing and Im quite happy on the carbimazole

Silent Reflux after lung surgery?
Has anyone heard that about 48% of people having lung cancer surgery often have silent reflux afterwards? Almost 9 weeks after my lobectomy I have noisy breathing in my oesophagus, a chronic cough, hoarseness in varying degrees, and post nasal drip particularly at night, and I burp quite often. All

Stoma
Have any of you got gastrointestinal issues and had it suggested that you would find it easier with a colostomy bag. If you have or have done the op I would really appreciate your thoughts and experience. Thanks in advance
