I had a lower left lung lobectomy 11 weeks ago with no real complication. I have now started chemo and had my first cycle 2 weeks ago.
All was ok with that apart from feeling tired and fatigued. I am having pains now in my sides where as when I bend down they really hurt mainly around the base of the ribs.
Has anyone else experienced these pains and If so what was the outcome. I will be making an appointment with my GP on the advice of my chemo nurse.
Thanks

That is good to hear that you had a satisfactory recovery from your lobectomy. The pain that you describe may not be related to your lungs at all, and as you know it is unlikely post op pain would start 11 weeks after your operation. It could be a number of things unrelated to cancer, e.g. colic type pain.
It is very normal once cancer is experienced that we become very alert and concerned about any new symptom, and it is always advisable to have this checked out as you are doing.
