ECG test results
Hi there I am a 49 year old woman with a family history of heart disease. Following long lasting heart palpitations I had a ECG and it showed TWI in leads V1-4 + aVL. I am being referred for an echocardiogram. The cardiologist didn’t seem too concerned and my chest X-ray and bloods were all clear. However

Feel like the life is slowly being sucked out of me, and I’m treading in quick sand! Please help!?
Hi, I know I only posted my results recently, but when I saw the GP, it was a different one than last time, as the original didn’t have any appointments and I needed to see someone sooner for another reason. The upshot of my consult was that I ended up in tears begging to be treated as an individual

Has anyone had their diagnosis taken away?
I have just made another post about my reduced mobility so apologies for that. I was diagnosed with SLE in January 2018. In the time from diagnosis until now I have had the following antibodies: ANA, dsDNA, Mi2b, Ro52, Rheumatoid Factor and anti-cardiolipin. For some reason UCTD was the diagnosis put

Here's the deal. I've felt terrible since June 2017 when I was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis. I likely had Hashimotos for many years prior but wasn't ever diagnosed. At the time of dx, my TSH was over 100 and free levels were tanked. Symptoms flooded in over the following months including crushing

State of the art testing for PA?
I've been pursuing PA as a possible explanation for my numerous long term health issues, beginning injections on 6/3. As many here report, results have been mixed; apparent initial improvement followed by some issues worsening. I understand the mechanism of PA is presence of an antibody against Intrinsic

Thyroid blood tests
I had my thyroid removed 3 years ago but have never managed to have satisfactory results since and it was found I needed T3 which I was given but taken off last September because it costs too much. I had tests which proved I needed it and was given it back in April. I have consistently had a suppressed

Thank You
I am blown away by the lovely responses to my first post yesterday, thank you so much. I was diagnosed as having mild COPD four years ago by a gastro oncologist following a CT scan. Since then I have had problems getting the doctors to take it seriously despite raising it several times. Last year

Should I be worried?
Had a cough since last Tuesday, got worse by the weekend and found I was using my inhalers a lot more due to chest tightness. Woke up at 1am this morning with a harsh, sharp pain in my chest when breathing in and out. Went down to a&e, Chest x Ray was clear, peak flow was okay and was given steroids

Pneumonia Vaccine
Morning all, after a chest X-ray and a spirometer test, I have been diagnosed with mild COPD. Last week the nurses suggested I have the pneumonia vaccine. I asked her if there are any side effects, she said only a pain in my arm 😃 Has anyone here had any other side effects from the vaccine. I ask

PA and Epilepsy and intrinsic factor
I have had Epilepsy for over 40 years, I was pretty much controlled, then I started falling over indoors, ok I'm used to that, but this was no fit, I thought it was my balance, after a couple of blood tests, I was told I had PA, one of the doctors in the practice, not my Dr, she wouldn't bother, she

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish
Well, yesterday was the appointment with my Rheumy which because of my first consultation going so badly, I held out no great hope for as he had talked over me, ignored me and generally treated me like c**p. So off I drove, after having the worst fortnight of flares for months. I still had 5 active

A couple of years ago this condition was question marked as my GP had sent me to hospital by ambulance suffering with a really bad chest pain, like I'd been kicked in the sternum. I had a chest x-ray, ECG and Bloods taken then an home. I have had RA for 15 years and have latent TB found 25 years ago

Just been diagnosed with Asthma, even though have not had the results of the Chest X Ray back yet. Doctor is fairly certain it's Asthma. My lung function was pretty dire - scored 130 and should be around 400 :/ Just wanted to introduce myself as I can see myself coming here often, having been diagnosed

Pleural effusion, its implications and pain relief
My husband has been diagnosed three days ago with pleural effusion and is due to have it drained in a weeks time. He's been on the Flair trial with ibrutanib for three years and generally has done quite well on it, with a couple of blips. He's had to come off it in preparation for the procedure. The

Overdue
Hi I am overdue with my first baby by five days. I was recommended this Castor oil! The only place they sell is Holland and Barrett but on the back it says do not drink , so I’m not sure if it’s the correct one or not I have attached a picture. Hot curry I had for tea last night did not work any advice
