Two weeks ago had a telephone appointment with a GP, I was concerned that my breathing had not been as normal for a few weeks. Certainly wheezing while breathing out, just breathing out! No real problem inhaling. I was asked to visit the surgery for a face to face appointment that same day with the GP

Puzzling Results
I am puzzled about my latest results and need some help. I am 77 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 19 years ago when my TSH was 75. I was prescribed Thyroxine but I can't remember how much or how long I took it. I felt that it wasn't helping me , so I did my own research. I found out about NDT and

Help needed with PMR diagnosis
Hi everyone, After weeks of frantic googling, I have stumbled upon this group and it's honestly the first time things have started to make a little sense... I'm looking for some advice for my mum- she has been in horrendous pain since mid January and is really struggling. Her symptoms are like a checklist

Free ebook of 300 pages:"Parkinson's here and now. 27 years searching for a cure for Parkinson's disease (1994-2021)."
This coming Monday (if everything goes as planned) I will publish on my blog "Parkinson's here and now" the link to a free book of about 250-300 pages and in printable pdf format, which collects the most interesting of the book I published in 2015 (now translated into English) as a tribute to my father

Signs of GCA?
Hi I was diagnosed with PMR nearly 2 years ago and had reduced down to 8mg pred before Christmas before shoulder and hip pain made me put it up to 15mg again. I have now reduced to 12 mg, (split 6mg late at night and 6mg late morning). The pain has not gone away totally but is generally livable with

Can Methotrexate cause lung problems?
I have been on Methotrexate for about 8 years now, even though it doesn't seem to do me much good. I am also on Leflulamide and hydroxy. I have got cellulitis and last November I developed an infected ulcer on my leg and was in hospital as it became very serious. I was only kept in for a few days because

New to group
Hi I have just discovered this group and for my first post I though I would post my heart problems story. Last year I was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy and had a severe case of heart failure. I had just turned 38 at the time. I had a bad case of flu for a few weeks before the diagnosis. All

So many symptoms, does it sound like b12 😣
My last b12 bloods were 314 pretty much exactly 2 years ago. I've had so many scans, tests for what started out as extreme fatigue and frequent urination. Never had a solid diagnosis. Around 2 months ago the fatigue got worse and I noticed weakness/numbness tingling in my legs in a morning. I've not

Doctor not reinstating b12 injections
So been to doctors today to discuss my recent blood test and intrinsic factor antibody (came back negative)she’s happy with my b12 level of 532 so is not willing to reinstate my injections, she just told me to continue with my oral b12 supplement and have a blood test in a months time. Said to monitor

High blood levels of B12
Hi everyone, Not new here but just a little background - I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency back in 2014, I managed to produce enough evidence to satisfy my GP that I could not manage on 2 - 3 monthly injections and so I am able (currently) to access enough B12 for my needs, but this could soon change

Kidneys I'm a bit concerned
I wrote saying that I was physically very weak, and very nauseous....then I learned that my blood sodium levels had taken a dip. I'd been put on a new blood pressure med Indapamide which is a diuretic, but used as a bp med at low doses. I don't have fluid retention and stopped this after 4 days because

Need help!
So I have been struggling with quite a lot of symptoms for a while (since I was 17, I am 19 right now). My family doctor did a routine blood work and found out I am deficient in vitamin d, somewhat anemic (runs in the family) and my lymphocytes are 4.4xe9/L. I did a course of vitamin d supplements since
