Appointment with chest/respiritory consultant on Monday.
Hi to all, I have been getting progressively breathless for over two years now. In November last year, I was taken into hospital with cellulitis and an infected leg ulcer and to begin with they thought it might be sepsis. The ulcer on my leg has only just healed after 6 months and I was having a nurse

Mucinous adenocarcinoma
Hello I’ve had lower right lobectomy followed by chemo last year. Today I’m going for a follow up chest X-ray and having just looked at the form it’s says T3 Muc. Adeno. I knew I had NSCLC adenocarcinoma. So I’m assuming the MUC is mucinous, which I wasn’t aware of. Does anyone have/had mucinous

Intrinsic factor test and diagnosis
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. Basically I've had all of the standard pernicious anaemia symptoms for about 2.5 years now, but not yet 'officially' diagnosed. I had been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, but rest didn't seem to help. 3 weeks or so ago I discovered pernicious anaemia and took

Lung vibration laying down 😭
After some words of wisdom please. So in summary, had pneumonia 12 weeks ago.2x antibiotics/steroids/inhalers. 3 x clear chest x-ray, 1x clear HRCT scan. Slightly productive cough persists, chest tightness/sob persist but most annoyingly is the lung vibration..... It’s only at night or when laying

The difference between my local rheumy and the centre of excellence
Hi All Sorry for the recent silence. I had my appointment at the centre of excellence rheumatology department and I thought it would be helpful to outline how I found it. The short version is that at the centre of excellence I got the same standard of treatment I'd been having in the two countries I

Health Anxiety IBS
Hello Everyone, I am a 23 year old male who has been dealing with IBS and Gerd for about 3 years. I have had blood tests, H-pylori breath test, ultrasound and even colonoscopy. Also a chest x-ray one time I went to the hospital. None of these doctors have an answer for me so I feel like they are missing

If it is not asthma, could there be something wrong with my lungs? 🤔🤔
Hi. What is your opinion on this? Do you think I have Asthma or something else (perhaps a lung problem)? 🙂 I'm 19 years old and have been significantly out of breath always, from the age of 6/7. It was not until I was about 15, that I was officially diagnosed with asthma by the gp after I had an asthma

Possible gallbladder problems
Hi sorry if this post is in the wrong place. I've posted on various communities before but now after speaking to my doctor yesterday she thinks I may have something wrong with my gallbladder. I've had upper abdomen pain, mostly on the right side but also across the mid to upper area of my back. This

Could lung problems be caused by R.A. medication?
I have become very breathless over the last year or so and it is getting worse. I was sent for a chest X-ray in February and was told that I had fluid on the lungs and needed to see a respiritary consultant. The chest clinic at our hospital is closed for the foreseeable future so we paid to see a private

Not sure if related to hypothyroidism
I have been on 100mcg levo for several weeks to keep GP happy. I did tell her I had been breathless with any activity for weeks before I saw her. My husband has been very concerned that there was no improvement and in this symptom and had me contact the surgery on Tuesday morning. I had a call

IBS query
I have had upper abdomen pain for the last 6 weeks or so. I've had blood tests, an ECG and a chest x ray all of which came back clear. The pain cleared up for about a week but then came back after I went for a run and ate a Chinese takeaway. Someone mentioned it could be IBS. Is there anyone that could

Abdomen Pain
I've posted before about upper abdomen pain which I had for about 6 weeks. I've had blood tests, and ECG and a chest x ray which all came back fine. The pain cleared up for about a week and a half. I then went out a run and I noticed the pain came back. This was on Saturday and I'm still experiencing

Mtx and breathing difficulties/ chest pain update
Thank you lovely people for your helpful replies. The breathing has settled but I’ve had chest discomfort and felt very unwell for more than a week now. Chest x ray was normal and oxygen levels normal, consultant says not pneumonitis. GP has signed me off for another week as still not improving. Just
