Hi I am overdue with my first baby by five days. I was recommended this Castor oil! The only place they sell is Holland and Barrett but on the back it says do not drink , so I’m not sure if it’s the correct one or not I have attached a picture. Hot curry I had for tea last night did not work any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you

Sorry no help with the oil but I went to 43 and half weeks In the end so know your pain. Ask you midwives if they offer acupuncture. Was the best thing for me. Very relaxing (even for me,someone who hates needles and was scared stiff).

Good luck with the labour. Remember your in charge, go with your gut feeling and try to enjoy every moment. Try not to worry, leave that to OH and the professionals and do what you thinks right. You know best.

Don't worry and just feel confident that your baby will come when they are ready. The majority of babies are 'overdue' according to UK statistics.

I would recommended The Positive Birth Company for more info on this and understand the process of your baby arriving.

The stats show that only 4-5% of babies arrive on their given due date. You might find this reassuring: youtu.be/1CV5wH6ZeVU

The best thing you can do is try to relax and rest as much as possible; do nice things, eat nice food, watch funny films, go for acupuncture or reflexology - all of which boost your oxytocin levels (the feel good hormone) which is the chemical in your body that increases when we go in to labour. Feeling stressed and focussing on your due date will be counter productive to going in to labour. Here’s the science behind it: youtu.be/wQpiFADMqb8
