How 'normal' is a persistent cough?
I have asthma, COPD and Bronchiectasis so I thought my ongoing cough was just par for the course. However, my GP has sent me for a chest x-ray as I've had the cough since November. Actually, I've had it for three years but November was when I had my last lot of antibiotics. I thought I was doing quite

Air hunger issues
Hi! I’m a 43 year old mom of three little boys. Single mom at that. I have been having these episodes where I cannot take a satisfying breath. My chest feels very full and heavy but I am not congested. I have no cold symptoms. I do have a wheEze which I believe is due to maybe asthma. This air hunger

Nafld persistent cough
Hi all, I have been diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. In the last couple of months I have developed a nasty cough which stops me sleeping. There is no fluid on my lungs, my blood oxygen is good, I had a chest X-ray that came back clear. Doctors say it can't be viral or infection as I'm

If you have read my previous post, then I will continue here. My B12 on December 13th was 178 and now after a month of sublingual dosing it is up to 452 ! Most of the sharp pains I was feeling in and around my knees has gone, I can now stand from sitting on the floor cross legged without using hands

Partner had chest x ray showing shaddow on lung.
I'm worried sick and just wondering if anyone on here has had the same and what the outcome was? My partner was sent for a chest xray by his GP after having flu symptoms with a cough which has been present for around 7 weeks. The GP called him 2 days after the xray and told him there was a shadow on

Anxiously awaiting diagnosis
Hi all, Firstly, apologies for the rambling post, but it really helps to write things down sometimes. I’m new and found my way here through the PAS webpage, as I was researching causes for low B12. I visited my GP in November as I was suffering with some digestive problems and was feeling very tired

Does anyone know how long the test for IF takes? My GP has said if I don’t have IF I can have injections every 8 weeks instead of the 10 weekly that I’m on. Is that normal? I'm very lucky that I have a supportive GP.

Fluid on the lungs
Hi everyone My Mum had a chest X-ray last week and it has shown that she has a small about of fluid on her lung, she recently had triple heart bypass surgery and apparently this is common after surgery. Has anyone got/has this problem? I’m trying to gather as much information as I can about it. Thank

I have asthma and have been unwell with flu since 27th December which then resulted in LRTI. I’ve had 3 courses of steroids and 2 different courses of antibiotics. I’m still very breathless and coughing up green stuff. The GP listened to my chest on Tuesday and told me my chest is now clear but sent
