I am blown away by the lovely responses to my first post yesterday, thank you so much. I was diagnosed as having mild COPD four years ago by a gastro oncologist following a CT scan. Since then I have had problems getting the doctors to take it seriously despite raising it several times. Last year I had a chest infection for 6 weeks with no treatment and my breathing got worse. I was sent for a chest X-ray and told all was fine. I am worried that I have made things worse by not having the correct treatment/advice from the off. The only symptoms I have is moderate breathing problems when I do anything physical, no mucus or anything like that. I will find out what stage I am at when I see the doctor (who did take me seriously thank goodness) Monday week. Did anyone else have problems getting the doctors to diagnose?
