Question regarding Injections.

Hello Everyone,

I am having heart palpitations and loose stools for the last few months. Had 3 ECGS and couple blood test but everything is fine.

Requested my GP to check my b12 levels which were low for couple of years (around 170 to 205 ng/L each year). The results came today and my b12 level is 203 ng/L. Also been tested for Intrinsic factor antibody which is Negative.

Because my b12 level is borderline low for couple of years GP said he can either give me injections OR tablet so I decided to go for injections.

My question is now having too many injections of b12 can cause any side effects? or make my b12 level too high? as my b12 level is not very low it is just border line.

I was also tested for H pylori which came back Positive but I am not having any issues with stomach.

Ypur body gets rid of excess b13 via your urine. It is a water soluble vitamin. Some times you can get effects from injection. I do at times. Some of the reading are it doing it work. Other I think is what the b12 is mixed with. I also do get spots although alot less then I used to. Or if you worried try tablets first . It depends if you can absorb it or not and what your symptoms are that need addressing. Couldn't the loose stools be a result of h-pylori infection??

That will be treated.

Also doesn't h-pylori stop you absorbing b12 and and other vitamins? So once that is sorted with antibiotics you may well absorb your vitamins again.I think it's quite a heavy cocktail of antibiotics but good to get it treated now you know. Will also stop other stomach issues? Ulcers I hope in the future. Your doctor should've explained it.

The injections are perfectly safe. No such thing as 'too much' B12
