Is it COPD or asthma?
Hello I wonder if anyone can help me please? I'm 50 and have been asthmatic since I was 6. I had a chest infection in April but couldn't shift the cough afterwards. I then had another chest infection in June and was sent for a chest X ray. The GP said the X ray showed a tiny compression on the left lung

I had a g.p. appt last Tuesday (17th July) to discuss the possibility of my having B12 Deficiency, or PA. I took along with me, some paperwork that listed quite a few of the symptoms that I myself am experiencing. After relaying everything that I thought important, including low normal B12, 263ng/

Confused!
I had a chest x-ray a number of years ago and was told I had bronchiectasis. I am a COPD sufferer. My doctor has never mentioned it since or medicated me for it. I was unaware that I had it until I went for a pre-op assessment the other week when the nurse said I would stll have it. Should I be concerned

Hi all, I was diagnosed with PA & Celiac Disease last October after being sick for more than 6 years. 4 of which I could barely put one foot in front of the other let alone remember why I was trying in the 1st place. Every doctor I saw immediately prescribed antidepressants, (which I refused to take

Didn't take my Thyroid meds right and am very sick.
I don't know why I allowed this to happen, but I just a lot on my mind and did not adhere to to all the rules of taking the med effectively. I was taking Synthroid 225 in early morning. Sometimes, I would take it right after a GAs X or something like that and take it with food or other meds. I have

Advice welcome
I have just been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis. I have had gastrointestinal problems for years, since the age of 18, and I am now 44. Just before the gastritis diagnoses I asked my GP for a B12 test as I had heard that it could be connected to stomach issues, and I had just found out my dad has

Walking pneumonia didn’t fully go away with azithromycin?
I was treated for walking pneumonia almost 6 weeks ago with azithromycin. My high fever is gone, but I still have a temperature in the 99s which is unusual for me. Still having chest tightness and coughing even though chest X-ray and Ct scan were clear. Anyone else experience this? I feel like some bacteria

Late Onset Asthma Diagnosis
Hello everyone, I am a 53 yr old female diagnosed with late onset asthma. I visited my doctor 10 years ago with breathing problems, esp during the night, when I would wake up gasping, taking in air but appearing to be holding my breath. The Dr listened to my chest, said I wasn't wheezing, so it wasn't

Anecdotes of cures
Is anyone aware of any anecdotes of cures for PA? All over the internet there are stories of people curing cancer through juice diets etc. There are also plenty of people claiming to have cured their autoimmune disease through diet. But you don't really see anything about anyone curing PA. And by

Intrinsic Factor vs Parietal Cell Antibodies
If a person tested positive for the intrinsic factor antibody but negative to the parietal cell antibody, would that mean that the parietal cells in the stomach are not under attack, only the intrinsic factor that those cells produce? And would that mean that the stomach might be still producing acid

Would you have a poor spirometry outcome with this. All I have is breathlessness and the poor spirometry and a clear chest x-ray. Going for another spiro today and was looking some more info on it
