Newbie here...Day 4 of Champix..... what should I be expecting?
Hi, I started
Champix
on Sunday, today is day 4 and the first day I take an evening dose. I don't feel much different although I have noticed I am not smoking as much and tend to leave half finished ciggies,( I smoke rollies).

Zoom, zoom!
Day 19, 3 days since I drastically reduced Chantix dose. I feel amazing. I'm sleeping well and my head is no longer stuck in a cloud of glue and malaise. I even went for a run last night. I am a regular runner, even as I smoked a pack a day over the years, I usually logged 2-3 miles a day. But I've

Smoking dreams and Chantix, schmantix?
Day 16. I had a smoking dream last night and woke up in a panic. It came after I spent an evening with a smoking friend. I wasn't tempted to cheat while I was with him, but I guess my psyche was jealous somehow. Weirdly, even though I didn't touch one, when I woke up from my smoking dream, my throat

Really bad insomnia
I can't really understand if this is the
champix
or something else. I had some disturbed sleep right at the beginning , but ster the 1st week, waking up was the problem. I was so tired tonight but got into bed and felt really hot and thirsty, then chest pains, then needed a wee.

Stopped smoking, breathing worse than ever
I'm using
Champix
which helped me stop before (stupidly, I started again after a particularly stressful time at work). I have spoken to my GP, my smoking support worker and my pharmacies, all of whom confirm no link between the breathlessness and
Champix
. I'm not sure it's worth it.

Champix can be disruptive after a while...
Champix
is really depressing the heck out of me. It's disrupting my sleep, I have dark circles under my eyes, and I find myself crying for no reason. I'll take it in January so that will be 3 months. I don't want to take it for 4 months like the doctor suggested.

Quit Day
Since I started Chantix I went from 10-12 cigarettes a day to 2 cigarettes a day just from the Chantix white pills. I start taking the blue pills tomorrow, January 29th which is my quit day and my 8th day on Chantix. I'm a little nervous because I won't have that cig to fall back on or to relieve

3 Weeks Smoke Free!
So far it's not been too hard and I attribute that to
Champix
. I also started low-carb again this week and so far have lost 7 nasty pounds. Always lose the most the first week ... mostly water weight but I'll take it!!

One week smoke free
Between the App, this site and the
Champix
, I'm feeling strong. The one thing I have to admit is I'm eating whatever, whenever. And I can't do that forever. I'm either buying an elliptical trainer or joining a gym right after xmas.

Day 3 of quitting on Champix
Champix
has been helping a lot. Doctor told me to take it for 2 full weeks before my quit date so that's what I did. I noticed quite soon that cigarettes didn't taste good anymore. Physical attraction GONE.
