Third go with champix, successful the second time with a cat 5 hurricane bearing down on me when I lived in Florida so figured Valium, nicotine and jackie D the way to go only for it to miss.

Hi guys I am on day 14 of champix its not easy must admit, but I've reduced my smoking from 20-25 a day to just 2-6max on the champix I really hope that the effectiveness kicks in now coz I'm ready to be smoke free.....

Well been to stop smoking clinic today😊 got to hand a request form in at my doctors tomorrow for champix the lady at the smoking clinic explained all about champix and said she thinks I will be suitable for it told me I might get headaches and nausa but to try and stick with it , the shock for me

First 4 weeks on champix then that was it, it didn't agree with me. I have been so amazed with myself over the last 2 weeks I went to babysit 2 weeks ago got out of my car and slipped in mud and wet leaves and to cut a long story short have broken a bone In my lower leg.

Mainly using gum as 2 prior quit attempts on Champix failed! I really wish to relieve myself of this horrid feeling!

hi all, this is my second smoke free day. i m taking Champix and i have to say, it's working well with me,no cravings at all. i m just concerned about having to experience cravings after i ll stop taking medication. advices are welcome. thanks for your time Ciara

I was on champix but had to stop a week ago because of adverse reaction. And I guess thinking about it I have been feeling worse since then. Up to that point I didn't even want a cigerette. I am determined not to smoke again, I don't want the last 50 days to have been for nothing.

Hi all! I quit smoking on Feb 7, 2017 after using Chantix for 12 days. Now my gums feels as though a thousand mini knives are attacking them. They are not bleeding at all, just in extreme pain. The upside to the gum pain is I can not eat my cravings away so I breathe and pray through them. I have read

Heya , I have been taking champix for three weeks now I'm into my fourth week but I have been feeling very up and down lately , I'm usually quite a bubbly person but I have no intrest when my friends talk to me and I'm being very quiet , some days I just don't want to talk to anyone and cry .

You have all been amazing and helped me so much when I made the decision to start champix. Your experiences have helped me so much and I am so pleased after 40 years of smoking 20 a day I have no desire to touch another cigerette.

I am on Champix - not bad stuff - but for me it is constantly a mental fight. I did not want to quit - but my wife of 43 years got told she had to quit because of moderate Emphysema in both lungs - so I said I would quit if she did.

Hi All, Just wanted to give an update on my progress so far :) Im on day 14 of the Champix and day 3 now of no smoking. I must be honest and say the Champix is definitely helping with the cravings. Im no longer craving the nasty sticks but the desire to want one is still there.

I stopped taking Champix because I didn't find it was contributing anymore so I quit it a few weeks ago and have continued on without it. I have had cravings over the past couple of days but have stayed strong mentally and I've done well to fight them off.

Possibly a positive side effect of the champix pill (1 a day in morning). I did get my sore belly issues worked out thanks to magnesium powder and this forum for the advice and support.

I'm dreading day 4 when i move onto 2 tablets I have had a look at other posts relating to Champix but they all seem to be very old. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or inspirational words to Sara

For those who experience heartburn/nausea from champix you should give peppermint a try - candy, gum, tea or essential oil - inhale or rub a few drops on your stomach between your ribs....

I am taking champix to help me. I have taken it before and it did help, I quit for 8 months....and then I started again. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with RA so that should make me want to quit ....unfortunately even that wasn't a strong enough reason. I need to quit...that's all I can say:)
