Welcome Ductwork1 - I would discuss the best alternatives with the doctor who prescribed the champix to you - they should be able to advise on the dosage etc...

We look forward to seeing your day 1 post very soon :)

I'd do it 1. Get my smoking down to single cig a day. 2. quit cold turkey 3. use meds only when I have withdrawal sympthoms.

I did this - use only when it gets bad - with anxiety when I quit and I used VERY little meds, at most like 4 days in a row. I felt better knowing I have a remedy at hand, that I have not developed a tolerance to.

Welcome quitter333 to our community, how long have you been smoke free?

I know nothing about champix, so as Roisin suggests check with your doc on the dosage.

Whatever works for you is the right choice. I used an e-cig because it was the most "real".

Stick with Champix. Try & complete the 12 week course. Hang in there with the morning nausea. I found the right balance with one dry biscuit with the morning tab. Anymore I’d feel so sick as with empty stomach. Exercise helped too. I’ve been smoke free for almost a year and a half. Good luck. Stay strong & it’ll be the best thing you do :)

I am. All good. Hope you’re good too Roisin. Being smoke free is wonderful. This site was soooo helpful when I was quitting. Almost 1.5 years. Time goes so fast 😘😘
