TODDLER WITH ITP
My son is three. February 2016 he came home from daycare, it was a Friday, with bruising down his back and buttocks. I thought he might have scrapped it on the slide . Friday night he was sitting with my mom and his thigh turned dark purple. More bruising Saturday and Sunday. He then Sunday night

Lithotripsy and Spinal Fusions
My name is Karen and I have a history of kidney stones. The last kidney stone was a 16 mm stone and took two lithotripsy's to break it up. I have also had a lumbar fusion L5 & S1 in 2001 and my latest x-ray showed a post surgical change in the Lumbosacral spine. This was noted from X-rays done between

New appointment for pain management
I had L5/S1 spinal fusion in March 2015. All of last year did not seem too bad, either that or I kept telling myself to give my back time to heal and that it would get better. This year I'm not so sure. I have been having sharp jabs in lower back that at times almost brings me to my knees, mostly

ITP – Need more options
In September 2014 I was diagnosed with ITP. I found out due to a cold and routine check up. I have tried, Prednisone, IVIG, Rituxan, MMF, Nplate and a few others I can't think of at the moment. The only drug that seems to work is Nplate although the weekly Dr visit are not fun. Without drugs my count

Sacroiliac area and groin pain ( I cannot lie down or sit)
Hello, I put off going to bed until I am utterly exhausted as I cannot lie down, sitting is equally painful and limits the distance I can travel. I have had so many nerve blocks and a denervation's that I have lost count. The GP prescribes Tramadol which does not help at all and I am on an anti inflammatory

My Story
Hello, I am new to this site but realise now that I might need the support and help of fellow sufferers of Lymphoedema. When I was 30 years old in 1982 I had testicular cancer and following an orchidectomy I was told the histology showed I had a seminoma and after 3 weeks of radiotherapy on my abdomen

ITP Spleen removal
So, I was diagnosed with ITP October 2014. Ever since I have had a single figure platelet count, proving non responsive to pred, IVIG, elmotrobag, romniplostim, rituximab, MMF. My options now are to have my spleen removed. I have requested an indium scan but been told that I do not have enough platelets
