Everything is painful
I have chronic physical pain. I’m scheduled for surgery on my lower back. 360 spinal fusion. I’m also so depressed that I’m having trouble even writing this. I’m in extreme emotional pain. Just found out that my husband has been lying and probably cheating on me again. I feel hopeless and helpless. I

IVIG
I just wanted to mention this for patients who may have GI and/or neurological involvement, that we’ve been doing IVIG and it’s been helping me improve amazingly. I was without for 8 weeks and drastically deteriorated. I’m just curious if anyone else has done this, and/or plasmapheresis. When I started

Weaning off Ropinerole
I will never take ropinerole again. I weaned my self from it a few years ago and it was difficult. I restarted it with recurring RLS. I was suffering Augmentation earlier and earlier in the day as early as noon and early afternoon if I sat or would lie down to watch TV. I don't like being reliant on

Prostate
I have a question about Prostate Cancer and CLL/SLL. My husband had his annual Urology appointment Monday and his PSA was 15. Doctor ordered a 4K Blood test to score the prediction of his risk of aggressive Prostate Cancer and his score was 51. He is to have a biopsy on July 9. He has been on

Just wondering, when doctors talk about 'your age' during discussions are they perhaps referring to physical age, not chronological?
I was set off thinking on this track by various posts/replies where responses have not seemed completely appropriate once the full picture emerged. For instance, if I complained I had been refused a second ablation (I haven't, but not been encouraged) 'considering your age' I know what the reaction from

Painful Port?
So, when I began IVIG, I insisted on getting a port. My nutrition clinic wanted to put in a PICC, but my deep veins suck, too, and I didn’t love the idea of a PICC when I love baths and have dogs to care for. Anyhow, the thing was placed in the middle of April, and I still have itching. Now I have

I’m worried about my relapse for the second time
Hi all, I was diagnosed with ITP in 2007, as I was at the worst stage than with platelet count of 5, I was given both blood & platelet transfusion, IVIG for 10 days followed by course of prednisolone for a year. I then had a relapse in 2012, sudden heavy bleeding during my period and my platelet count

Need some feedback...
After my last visit with my onco it was decided that I still do not need IVIG and to take an antibiotic and viral medicine when needed - Visited a new dentist yesterday as old one retired and was put thru the paces with a myriad of X-rays and poking around my mouth. My rt eye and temple hurt and finally

Does IVIG help fatigue?
So last week I was having the worst fatigue so far apart from when I had pneumonia. I’ve taken antibiotics for a few days now and the infection is clearing. I’m also less fatigued and more able to walk. Almost back to my new normal. This dramatic fatigue with a relatively minor infection (I also got

Surgery risk
Hi all, I have severe brittle asthma, and I recently saw neurosurgeon as I have severe lower back pain. I have been told I need a spinal fusion but because of the anaesthetic risk i am not a candidate for surgery. Has anyone else experienced this?

Scoliosis and Osteopathy
Has anyone had success in being “straightened up” by osteopathy? The scoliosis was caused by my third spinal fusion three years ago. After two treatments, am certainly straighter but the pain is really awful. Is it normal to feel great for two days after treatment, and the dreadful pain kicking in for
