MTP big toe joint fusion

I'd love to hear from anyone who's had this operation and whether they successfully returned to running. I had the op done last week and now recuperating wondering if I'll ever be able to run again 🏃🏻

Hmmm... dunno. If it is any help I had mine on both feet fiddled with - wedges out on either side to straighten them up, and a joint removed from the next toe on one foot, and fused. Decades ago.

Fingers crossed for you! One thing that happened to me was that I got a recurrence of pain several months down the line which was obviously quite demoralising... but it did all settle down.
