Dairy (including milk, kefir, yogurt etc.) actually increases bone fractures?
Many doctors and articles seem to tout dairy for the
calcium
to help build bone density, yet I am reading more articles that seem to reinforce the studies which find that not only does it not help, it is actually detrimental and increases risk of fracture and even Parkinsons disease. Anyone else?

A maternal brain hormone that builds bone - Nature - Published: 10 July 2024
Their results, published July 10 in Nature, solve a long-standing puzzle about how women’s bones remain relatively robust during breastfeeding, even as
calcium
is stripped from bones to support milk production."

Gabapentin and Oxycodone
I take a number of medications for prostate cancer, Prostap injections, Amlopidine, Alendronic Acid and
Calcium
Carbonate/ Vitamin D. I avoid taking the Gabapentin at the same time as the
Calcium
. I also suffer from Night Eating Syndrome, which kicks in even if my RLS is quiet.

NHS Endo - South East - Pro T3 - Three referral choices...
At around the same I had my local surgery test for blood FBC, blood sugar, cholesterol,
calcium
folate, B12 Iron etc. This was just to check for my self that I wasn't encountering any other issues. To my surprise they also checked my FT4, FT3 and TSH.

Just a little rant
So here I am, switched to organic egg shell
calcium
( studies show this form absorbs over 60 percent more than any other form of
calcium
) and take small amount of vitamin C before meals and the meals I eat where I take my
calcium
, I finish that meal with Citric Acid.

Feeling anxious hopeless desperate and overwhelmed, sad
I thought I did everything I could for the last cycle in terms of vitamins, diet, acupuncture and yoga etc I was offered
calcium
ionophore at the last minute for our 4 eggs and agreed to this add on. Not much information on was given to us but I decided to go for it.

There are claims that it reduces
calcium
deposits in arteries. If so, would it cause problems for PV patients?

Endo appointment, T3 results at last and hyperparathyroidism possible
I am wondering if I need the high T4 to feel well and it's actually the effects of high PTH and
calcium
that make me feel ill but I am confusing it with how I feel with lower T4. It's been going on so long (high
calcium
since at least 2019 when I first had it tested) that it could be the case.

Latest Blood Test Help
I also take Thorne Basic B and Feel magnesium +
calcium
and Feel Immunity daily. I stopped taking Basic B four days prior to my blood test (also didn’t eat in the morning of test, which was at 9.20 am) I’ve been wondering if I qualify for trying T3?

Heart Calcium Score scan scare
Hello all. Last week I had a scan done that my Dr ordered because I am diabetic and over 50. I can exercise fine with my heart rate to 170 at times. I don't have any heart disease in my family on both sides. My cholesterol and triglycerides are all well within normal range but..........this score

Can NDT help with low calcium levels?
Calcium
levels tend to be fluctuating between ‘ normal’ and low. Have been given alfacalcidol to improve
calcium
absorption, but there is not much improvement. I am tempted to start private treatment with Armour thyroid, to see if it will improve matters. My daughter is on it and feels very well.

Ibrance and supplements
My oncologist recommended not to take
calcium
and vitamin D because I have a high level of
calcium
in my blood. I mainly use vitamin C, and I try to compensate everything else from food. I am 69 years old and use Ibrance 100 + fulvestrant monthly and zometa every 3 months.

Is it really necessary to take Alendronic Acid with these results?
Calcium
Supplementation: Under normal circumstances
calcium
supplementation is given alongside vitamin D supplementation, however, if the patient has a dietary intake of
calcium
that is equivalent to the proposed
calcium
supplementation; vitamin D supplementation is available without a
calcium
component
