Hi,
I went T3 only 3 weeks ago after trying combination therapy for 6 months. At around the same I had my local surgery test for blood FBC, blood sugar, cholesterol, calcium folate, B12 Iron etc. This was just to check for my self that I wasn't encountering any other issues.
To my surprise they also checked my FT4, FT3 and TSH. Inevitably the Dr called a week or so later as he was concerned about my thyroid panel. he didn't tell me the results, not that I was worried anyway as I tend to go by signs and symptoms now. We had a brief chat and I explained to him I was still hypothyroid. He was happy to keep my current course of treatment and asked if I would like to be referred to an NHS endocrinologist, which I am happy to do so. They have given me three referral choices and I wanted to know if anyone on the forum has experience with any of them and are they open to T3 therapy.
I am currently seeing a private Integrated Dr who is prescribing me T3.
So I can see:
1) Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill
2) Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham (pretty sure these are not pro T3 as I have spoke to them over a year ago)
3)Queen Mary Hospital Sidcup
I realise the referral appointment may take an ago to come through, but if it does and they are pro T3 then this may help in my journey to recovery.
Thanks,
Joe
