K2 supplement
Having read on this forum that
calcium
/D3 is best supplemented with K2 to aid absorption, I've been taking it with my (prescribed) iCal D3 chewable tablets for some years.

From RA to Lupus. High dose pred questions.
Should he be taking
calcium
and vit D supplements? And if so, which would people recommend? Also he has high blood pressure which is currently sort of controlled by amplopidine (5mg) - does anyone have experience of this?

radiation whack-a-mole?
In 2021 I had cyberknife radiation to new lesions in spinal vertebrae L3 and T9, which knocked the cancer back but also weakened the bone and led to compression fractures, to harden the bone I'm now also getting an Xgeva (bisphospehante) injection every 90 days, along with a ton of
calcium
every day.

That we actually do not need dairy as adults and should be getting
calcium
from fruits and veggies along with natural
calcium
supplements. I have recently switched to organic egg shell
calcium
, as it absorbs 67% more than other
calcium
. Has anyone been using this and see improvements?

To come off Hydroxychoroquine with No alternative drug replacement for it.
So, she had a look and said she was happy for me to stop as long I continue on my
calcium
. Which I have been all this time. Then after discussion with consultant they decided that I am to come off my Hydroxychoroquine totally.

Graves Disease, Hyperthyroidism and Supplements
Supplements taken: vitamin D apple cider tablets turmeric

magnesium When I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and Hyperthyroidism I stop taking all supplements. The TSH reduced 50%. Is possible that the supplements were the cause of the disease? Thank you, Vanbr

Help interpreting results
My parathyroid remained high as I was tested every 4 months, but didn’t drastically change and my
calcium
was the high range of normal, so under the advice of endocrinology, my GP stopped regularly testing for this.

near daily AFib
Kept having them and neither
calcium
channel blockers nor beta blockers helped; in fact, I felt worse on them. Cardiologist agreed that ablation is right and it’s scheduled for August 9. However, I am having daily AFib with rare exception. Consequently I am truly miserable much of the time.

Lots of articles on
calcium
impacting heart electrical conduction. I noticed when I started adding yogurt back in my diet 3 months ago that PVCs increased. No more yogurt and things calmed down. Everybody is different, but that path has worked for me so far.

high blood pressure.
I also read that Felopodine is a
calcium
channel blocker, whereas Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor, but a
calcium
channel blocker was mentioned. Is this right. I feel like Felopodine has taken 2 months of my life, not able to eat properly, not going out and in extreme pain.

Encephalopathy (HE), a visit to an ancient brain
When I was delivered to the ER due to critical
calcium
levels I was at risk for a heart attack and/or kidney damage. It was a clear emergency and I'm fortunate to have suffered no long term damage to either organ. I credit my wife for acting when I was not capable of much rational thought.

Verapamil and effects on thyroid
Theoretically,
calcium
can influence thyroid function and there are evidences that Ca2+ channel blockers are able to interfere with thyroid function. In this study, the effects of chronic oral administration of verapamil on thyroid function of male Wistar rats were investigated.
