Low statin dose increased lipoprotein a significantly
I have elevated lipoprotein a [lp(a)] and elevated cholesterol levels, am 70 years old and have a coronary artery
calcium
[CAC] score of 0 (or did before I started statins a short while ago). I just learned about the lp(a) level around 18 months ago.

weight bearing exercise, biphosphonates o Denosumab, vitamin D,

I do all of the above, even if I have very thick bone and not yet CR, the oncologist says that zometa is also used to contrast the spread of bone metastasis… https://www.urotoday.com/video-lectures/practice-guidelines-prostate

absorbing calcium
I have just started taking 1 adcal-d3 a day, but it's hard to know if you are absorbing
calcium
because you read of so many foods that block and leech
calcium
from your bones, you don't know what to eat at mealtimes.

Private cardiac MOT 5 years on?
So I though I'd investigate whether I can see a cardiologist privately and see what other tests and checks they might do, ECG, echo, maybe even a
calcium
MRI. Anyone have any experience of doing this privately in the SE? I'm in Kent. Cheers!

They took blood tests at the time which showed there’s a lot of
calcium
in my blood which is not getting to my bones. They put a hold on the daily injection and to stop the calcichew for the moment until I have a bone scan, I don’t really know what to expect from this and Google is scary!

NDT does this medication contain fillers🤔
is raised my heart does jump up, but there is a difference, the beat I get whilst on T4, T3 is like when I was hyperthyroid, and the beat when my
calcium
is up is different) my body pain is less, I would say apart from feeling a little more tired I felt better.

Stomach problems and steroids - where next
I followed the flare procedure but the increase in steroids caused stomach problems which were so bad that for a period I could not take other medication or the
calcium
and vit d. I have always used Omeprazole and Greek Yoghurt to take the steroids but, on advice, switched to Esomeprazole.

Weight and Exercise
It could have been high protein or low
calcium
or the Metformin or Aspirin or dehydration. Now my weight is more or less stable at 15st 9lb. I walk 10 miles each week.

Prednisolone and osteopenia
Hi I had a Dex scan a few weeks ago and my bone density showed I have osteopenia, I was given
calcium
and vitamin D tablets to take twice a day. So would it help if I drank milk to help to augment this as I don't have milk normally but have yogurt. Thank you in advance for any replies. Peter.

GCA and Ocular TIA (mini stroke)??
I have osteopoenia so am on
calcium
to reduce effects of Lansoprozole. The cocktail of drugs certainly makes me very fatigued!! I am wondering whether anyone else has has similar experiences?
