Slippery Elm & Lansoprazol

I'm asking advice for my son. It's about timings etc re slippery elm, supplements and slippery elm.

He's 40 and on Lazoprasole for almost 12 years for slight hiatus hernia. Each time he's not taken it, due to prescription mix up, he gets bad acid symptoms.

At the moment he's having an acid flare up.

He has some Biocare slippery elm which can be taken 1 x or 2 x a day.

Does anyone know the best timings or does it not matter.

I have heard it's best to take other things about 2 hours after ppi but getting out to work and delayed timings is difficult.

His other supplements are a multi vitamin and magnesium/calcium plus Vitamin D & K

Many thanks

I take my Lansoprazole in morning and slippery elm in the evening to keep them apart

Thank you. Are you having some success with it and have you used it for very long. I think I will try it as my stomach is playing up

Been on Lansoprazole for 6 weeks. GP wanted me to stop all my vitamins & supplements which i did for 4 weeks.Advised by natural healer to take slippery elm so started 2 weeks ago. She advised keeping them either end of day. Will also help with my IBS as it soothes your insides.

Thank you. I wonder why GP wanted you to stop all your supplements.

How did you find a natural healer.

There's so much information out there it becomes a bit confusing

Tge gp suggested that the vitamins and supplements may be causing the reflux, personally i dont agree but was willing to try for a month.I have several books on natural helath and have changed my circle of friends in recent years who embrace natural ways. Which is what our ancestors would have done. I expect reflux is mostly to do with the modern foods. I've gone back to cooking from scratch too. Also taken up yoga again & go cold water dipping weekly. Its looking at your complete lifestyle and re-evaluating it.

Ah I see I understand. I have though myself about the supplements as I do taste them for a while afterwards.

Cold dipping is meant to be great. I'm not brave enough

Thanks again
