Colostomy surgery
I'm having surgery in 3 days, I'm so scared. My diagnosis is colovaginal fistula after a hysterectomy 20 years ago, and C sections prior to that. I'm having adheliosis, (lesions removed) from bladder vagina and colon. There are 2 surgeons both doing their bit. They have said there maybe a stoma in

Terrified of childbirth
I am 31 weeks and really starting to freak out. No matter how many times people tell me that my body is designed for it and millions of women do it, I am still really scared of having to have a vaginal birth, and something going wrong that prevents me from having pain relief. I am going to see the consultant

Is this definitely hereditary?
Hi everyone, My mother died when I was seven years old, she had a Cesarean section and hemorrhaged. Earlier this year my Dad died and after looking through some of his papers I came across my mother's death certificate and under cause of death it says: 1a, subcutaneous hemorrhage and pulmonary collapse

A little help please!
Hello! I'm hoping for some advice and guidance! I had my third c section last June and had the implant fitted 6 weeks after this. The implant caused irregular bleeding so I was given a 3 month prescription of the mini pill to help control this (all the while I had been suffering with awful lower back

Want to be a mum, but too terrified
I have a complicated past which started with bullying from an early age, and a couple of abusive relationships which has left me with very low self-esteem and poor body image. I also have a massive fear of going to the doctors and any medical intervention, to the point where I will actively avoid going

UPDATE
I did go to my GP. She has prescribed me a different type of pill but not on repeat so I go to see her again. Currently she has diagnosed me as having a small uterus entrance which means that my blood cannot get out of my uterus when I bleed, so we will see what this pill does. I did have a lot of endo

Recovery time after c-section
Hello I was wondering please how long people have found that they need help with basic stuff such as lifting / feeding / changing / dressing baby after a c-section? I have had gynae surgery before (same place as for c-section) but that was under a general so the worst after effects I had were actually

ALL HAIL THE MARATHONERS!!
PLease add your thoughts about these two amazing C25K'ers who completed a marathon on Sunday 12th April. I think they are incredible and just great. To think just two years ago, both girls were sleeping in a cardboard box underneath Waterloo Bridge, sharing a bottle of turps and swearing at passers
