Severe left pain/adhesions/adhesiolysis rant. Tired and confused.
Recap: Laparoscopy and TV Ultrasound both "clear" for endo, but severe/deep/widespread adhesions. Also "clinically insignificant" cysts and fibroids. Awaiting another TV scan, hysteroscopy, and adhesiolysis. I came on my period Friday morning, cycle day 25, and the pain last night kept me awake until

*Sensitive* 44 year old and welcomed baby boy
A little late in announcing but we were thrilled to welcome our wonderful baby boy to the world on 25th May. This completes our family as we also have a little 23 month old daughter also through IVF and immune therapy. Will try to explain to them both how our son is actually older then our daughter

Doctors perform kidney transplant on awake patient
Doctors at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago have performed a kidney transplant on a patient who was awake the whole time. They say the technique used updated anesthesia methods which may now be used for more patients who would be considered too risky to go fully under, which is the standard

Bit of a scare but all okay now
Hey Everyone So Olive (and my body) decided to give us a bit of a scare Thursday night, I was watching England play ( the less said about that the better) and during the match I started getting really intense pain (like the Braxton Hicks I'd beeen having but stronger) then I got chest pains, then an

IVF transfer protolols (adenomyosis / endometriosis)
Hey there fellow warriors. I am agonising over IVF transfer protocols. After a year of batch stimming I am very fortunate to have 3 euploid blastocysts on ice ready to transfer. I have had five failed transfers (x2 miscarriages, 3 BFNs) and feel like I have tried everything already in terms of protocols

Lap clear then later diagnosed?
hello Has anyone had a diagnostic laparoscopy for it to come back clear from endometriosis, who has gone on to later be diagnosed with it? I fee I’ve been palmed off my NHS do. And she didn’t even listen to me and that my pain is behind my C-section scar that is indented. I’ve now made an appointment

surgery via private healthcare
So I have been advised to have two separate surgeries before continuing with IVF, one to remove a borderline tumour via laparoscopic cystectomy (purely for health reasons as the tumour has the potential to become cancerous), and a hysteroscopy to treat a defective c section scar which may potentially

Prosterior low lying placenta
Hello, just wondering has anyone else specifically got a low lying Prosterior placenta? I have read that there is a least likely chance of a prosterior placenta rising ups it is at the back of the uterus. I found out I have this at my 20 week scan. I was moved to consultant care then for the first

Any views on consultant - please DM
Appreciate this is a niche post, but does anybody have any experience with Mr Ertan Saridogan (consultant) - particularly in relation to diagnosis / treatment of c section scar issues (where these may be contributing to sub-fertility)? I am being referred to my existing consultant as apparently he has

Is the end in sight???
Hi everyone, this is my first post and reading others seems I am in the right place to discuss these issues with others who know exactly what I am going through. Others, even close friends, I think at times just dont get it... From what I read others too have had a long long road to diagnosis and treatment

Hi, new here!
Hi, I'm new here after being on the Endometriosis UK forum for 2 years while I was on waiting lists. Last month I had a Laparoscopy where severe and widespread adhesions were found. First gynaecologist said no endo, adhesions caused by c-section, heavy bleeding due to aging. Second gynaecologist said

Need some info on Fibroids
I've been posting here for almost 2 years about my pelvic pain and heavy bleeding while on waiting lists. I had a laparoscopy last month which showed severe and widespread adhesions. I was told by one gynaecologist that there was no endo and the adhesions would have been caused by my c-section in 2009

Another disappointing appointment with a consultant... MRI refused
I had my follow up appointment today after my laparoscopy last month where no endo was found but severe adhesions. The appointment today was to discuss the findings and further surgery. It wasn't even the guy I was supposed to see. My request for an MRI was flat out refused. And my adhesions once again

Breastfeeding, skin on skin and contractions (c-section)
