Med phobia
Hi everyone. I've been trying to handle the anxiety better than my last post. I've been trying breathing exercises, hot baths, distracting myself with crafts and even just being more in the moment. However today I woke with a tooth that is abscessed:( I'm extremely fearful of the dentist and meds. How

Bedtime flutters
Have been on Apixaban and Bisoprolol for around 6 weeks with no particular side effects. During the day when busy, the palpitations are kept to a minimum but as soon as I get into bed they start and I find it really difficult to get to sleep. They sometimes wake me up in middle of night after which sleep

Evening anxiety advice
I always seem to get that awful nervous feeling in my stomach. Hard to explain but I'm sure you can understand. It's quite strong this evening and uncomfortable. Does anyone have any advice on how I can relax. I'm not thinking about anything and breathing exercises don't work for me :(

My worst psychotic episode yet
Hi everyone it's been a while. I've settled into my flat, but last Wednesday evening I went outside for a cigarette. Took a cup of tea with me like I do every evening. I sat on the flood gate steps, then started thinking of my mum. Before I knew it I was in tears. I moved onto a ledge so no one could

PURE HONEY HELPS CONTROL LOW SUGAR
12 Dec. 2016. I am a diabetic since 1982. Three years ago, I started experiencing low sugar symptoms, especially in the early morning and at night. I changed my diet to consuming curds with a tea spoon of pure honey, at the end of lunch and also ending the day with a glass of cold milk with a tea

Have had 1st spirometer test today and have mild to moderate COPD, Feeling a bit down as have many unanswered questions, ie do I have to notify my place of work, is there any breathing exercises I can try. Healthy Breathing-2
It was pointed out that yesterday's
exercise
healthy
breathing
, can also be carried out whilst sitting. This is very true and useful for those who find lying down uncomfortable. Sitting upright in a chair, head relaxed, but as if connected by a thread from the top of your head to the ceiling.

I would commend -Tai Chi
breathing
as a simple and effective
exercise
. I can describe it if you are interested. Plenty on YouTube, some worth looking at. Secondly, I subscribe to a number of US medical sites. They tend to be less secretive closed user, more open in discussing R&D.

Sally, my chest physio is totally (AB) amazeballs!!!!
Sally has been looking after me now for over 6 years, infact she was one of the team of physio's who were given the task of getting this poor wretch back from the dead after surviving the un-survivable. The ICU team had done their bit in pulling me through a double pneumonia, ARDS, a pulmonary embolism

Questionnaire for parents with children that have exercise-induced asthma
It will only take couple of minutes, and by filling in this questionnaire you can be one of the first people to obtain this new
breathing
exercise
game. More information about this can be found at the end of the survey.

TSH of 150 but feel fine! without meds
I have a slightly fast heart rate at times, but again through
breathing
exercise
I tend to slow this down. I'm feeling very good but my TSH is still showing 150 as of 9th Novemebr and so I'm wondering what I should do.

short breathing exercises for AFib.
My permanent AF is generally 'quiet'.But I have a condition called hyperacusis(anxiety related) and it would be useful to use breathing exercises in an attempt to calm myself down when hyp. kicks in.Any ideas appreciated.

Finally back in NSR - longest AF episode yet - some questions please
Following my last post I would like to ask a few questions. I was in AF for almost two days and suddenly this morning went back to normal. This morning in bed I did breathing exercises for about 20 minutes whilst still in AF. I then got up made breakfast and as suddenly at it came it disappeared,
