Any views on the best value oximeter?
I have recently been doing simple deep breathing exercises several times a day as I believe it increases oxygen into the body thus helping all organs and I read it reduces cortisol (rises rapidly in the evenings for us males) and helps to make the body more alkaline. I would like to buy not a state of

I care for my elderly dad
Hi I'm Mandy, living in South West Wales. I gave up my full time job just over a year ago to care or my elderly dad - he was discharged from hospital after an eleven week stay and a rehabilitation programme was put in place so that he could work on building up his mobility and strength and eventually

Chi Gong Breathing -2
The first Chi Gong
breathing
exercise
was called Holding the Dantien. Which was good for
breathing
, constipation, convalescence after or during illness. It was as you remember a gentle exercise, hands held at Dantien, whilst you bent and straightened your knees in synchrony with your breathing.

Sanjay Gupta
I can't seem to find the breathing exercises from Sanjay Gupta. I googled it, but different videos show up. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Anxious right at this moment but still hopeful
Right at this moment i am feeling anxious. Racing heartbeat and palpitations. I had just finished lunch And your heart always pumps a little harder when digesting...and then i went right to painting the walls in my sons room. After about 15 min i decided tp pause because of the racing heart and do

I was losing my breath in my dream and couldn't catch it.
The weird part was there were times in my dream where I'd be running (for pleasure) or doing another exertion
exercise
and my
breathing
would be fine. I'd be talking to someone calmly and then all of a sudden I was losing my breath and then would find it hard to breathe.

Today's healthy exercise-meditation
Whilst walking to Church this morning. It was a lovely spring like day, the birds were singing, daffodils and snow-drops in full bloom. It was so nice and peaceful, it put me in a meditative state of mind. When reading some of your comments on the past exercises. I know some of you may not be able to

Blood pressure spikes due to anxiety - SSRI medication or natural methods?
SSRI medications or
exercise
, yoga, meditation deep
breathing
? My PCP doctor says that all natural sounds good but this is putting my heart at risk. I am a 61 year old female; no other health issues. Walk 30 minutes every day. Could lose 30 pounds.

Chi Gong, qigong mean the same - healthy exercises
However you spell or pronounce it, I'll use Chi Gong - it means healthy exercise or movement. In China exercise's to generate health and well being have been practised and refined for about 3000 years. Chi Gong can be likened to a system of both health and philosophy which practitioners claim is beneficial

Tai Chi Breathing Pls read this first
Hi Everyone. I mentioned the other day in a post that I found "Tai Chi breathing" exercises very helpful. These exercises are part of the health giving side of Tai Chi called Chi gong. Several of you kindly commented that you would like to understand more, and possibly try out the techniques for yourselves

Hello
Hi I'm 34 and have been suffering from anxiety. I thought I was going crazy, I felt off balance and like I was living out of my body, always nervous and shaking having heart flutters. I was always shouting and my kids and just wanted to be by myself and then when I was I felt so lonely and unloved. I

22 Years of Treatment. No help.
In the past, people have suggested things like
exercise
, cutting out caffeine,
breathing
exercises, trauma releasing exercises. I have read dozens of books, visited dozens of websites, read hundreds of articles and papers on theories and treatments of depression.
