Life after mastectomy
Hello! I'm looking for this who had a mastectomy and can share best bras, sports bras, swimsuits, and breast forms. I had one breast removed in Dec 2017. I do not care for the silicon prosthetic I was given. Bras do not stay in place. I currently am wearing a cotton filled pocket but that won't

My first post
I was diagnosed with MBC June of last year at age 79 and I am still in shock. I was on Tamoxifen for 3 months which made the breast lump bigger. I am now on Ibrance and Faslodex and so far show shrinkage in breast and 2 lymph nodes lumps. Aside from occasional tiredness and nausea, no other side effects

Advice after latest Blood tests and inflammatory breast cancer diagnosis
Hi everyone. I have Hashimotos. I had my most recent blood tests taken at my GP surgery and need advice as after I had spoken to my GP yesterday, he seems to think that even though my TSH has increased by 0.5 to 1.8, he seems to think that as it is still in "range" that it doesn't warrant an increase

MRI and Bone Scan update (Stage IV BC)
After 8months of Letrozole with Ibrance including 10rounds of radiation for bone mets in the spine, my scans showed no progression of metastasis and in keeping with response to treatment and no evidence of new lesions. Keep the faith and be positive all the time ladies! Will have CT scan soon...

New to DCIS
Thank you for adding me to this group. I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, had a lumpectomy in February, and they are now suggesting radiation, followed by a hormone inhibitor. I'm pre-menopausal currently. My genetic testing came back low on the tissue removed. Estrogen positive. How do you decide

I'm new here - Denosumab?
Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 BC (extensive but relatively light bone mets and spots on liver plus hazy mesentery) and have been put on Letrozole which seems to be shrinking tumours. I am due to start on Ibrance in the next few days and between them, my onc believes they should give

Meeting with oncologist quick update
Hi lovely ladies, I wanted to let you know I had a meeting on Thursday with my oncologist re having caelyx or tamoxifen as Carbo didn’t seem to be working for me. Well I don’t know if he’d bumped his head or something but it was like talking to a different man from the week before. He was very patient

Port questions
I have the option of a port. Currently doing GemCarbo by IV. However, after my hospital stay 2 weeks ago and limitations to 1 arm, IV is becoming a challenge. Where is the port located usually? Does it interfere w bra? Can I lay on stomach? How do they implant it? Are you sleeping? I’ve read some

Anyone have ET diagnosis with normal BMB
I've posted a few times and still in no man's land (hopefully it will get better on my second haem appointment on 22nd). So far: ET possible - no secondary causes for thrombocytosis (everything normal which is great) ;platelets hovering around 500; previous pulmonary embolism at age 18 - 20 years ago

A picture paints a thousand words?
A 20ml metal ball found in my abdomen, not digestive track. This was found 2 weeks ago in an MRI. They had to stop MRI obviously and they took xrays later. Hmmm I think someone has forgotten something in DIEP flap surgery. Could this have hindered my health? Who knows eh? Sure didn't help it. That's

Hi All, I was recently diagnosed with skin mets. Has anyone had them and if so, do you have any treatment tips? The pathology report said they were triple negative, and I was ER+ In other locations. They only took a small sample, so I’m going to ask them for a second biopsy to confirm. I’m on ibrance
