Advice after latest Blood tests and inflammatory breast cancer diagnosis

Hi everyone. I have Hashimotos. I had my most recent blood tests taken at my GP surgery and need advice as after I had spoken to my GP yesterday, he seems to think that even though my TSH has increased by 0.5 to 1.8, he seems to think that as it is still in "range" that it doesn't warrant an increase in Levothyroxine. Now, yesterday I was also diagnosed with Inflammatory breast Cancer and due to start chemotherapy in the next week or so. Would it be worth telling my GP that I want an increase of levothyroxine as I am still having symptoms of Hashi's - sore throat, virus type headache or would it not be advisable as my immune system is going to be compromised due to Chemo? Sorry for the ramblings but I've got a lot of things/thoughts going round my head. Thanks so much for your help xxx

Thanks so much for the reply. I was thinking much along the same lines. as you say, my body needs to be on top form to be able to cope with chemo then surgery and then radiation. I'll have to book a face to face appt with the GP and get that increase x

I spoke to my GP and explained that I need the increase in Levothyroxine as I need (and I quoted you exact words)! "My body to be on form to cope with the chemo" and he agreed! Thanks so much for your help and words! Now to fight the other battle xx
