Blood tests

I've been to hospital had ecg, blood tests and everything is coming back ok! I know you can't give medical advise on here but I just wondered if its normal with endo to have pain in places other than back and abdomen? Thank you x

He advised me to lose weight, to have a plant-based diet, to be careful not to get diabetes and hypertension and in a little while to have a kidney scan and blood tests again. He gave me courage to try to improve my health and that everything will be fine if I follow it.

Each time I went back to the doctor to get fresh blood tests as I was convinced that was the moment I had destroyed my liver. I now have an official diagnosis of alcoholic on my medical record. I should never have been so honest but was scared and wanted help.

My blood tests did not confirm the diagnosis, only the lack of symptoms while on an appropriate dose of prednisone seemed to be accepted by my GP. Then my GP felt I needed a Specialist and referred me out to a Rheumatologist-which took months to find in my area of rural Northern California.

Louise - hypothyroid , just want to have them done privately for my endocrinologist I got through this website , as my GP’s won’t understand how the thyroid TSH works etc etc ( without me having to go into it you all know what I mean anyway - almost easier to get them done privately rather than on NHS

Another midwife I know was also appalled with the clinic not taking us in for any blood tests to monitor HCG or progesterone throughout. Our results came back and our HCG was 5 so we have learnt that we have lost our little embaby without having to wait another 5 days like our clinic advised.

Always wondered but never asked - I had my thyroid removed years ago due to large goitre(+ blood tests normal so all hypo symptoms in my head said GP). Diagnosed from biopsy with Hashimotos. On T4 only til recently (don't convert well at all).

The A&E duty doctor recognised me , it was the same doctor that did the blood tests and told me I’d had a heart attack! I wanted to thank him for taking that second blood test after the first came back at 74 and second 402 !

Good news is that I’ve finally had a consultation with a Private Thyroid specialist and have paid for more blood tests and a full report and treatment plan and prescription for meds (that my GP refused to even acknowledge were necessary).

Blood tests every two weeks and back for FU in three months providing all is well.

I had 2 further blood tests and the GGT was down to 56 in December last. The only alcohol I have had since then was 2 glasses of champagne on Xmas day. Just had another liver function test and the GGT is back up to 88.

Hello All - I have just gotten blood tests back indicating that my cholesterol is at the "risk level" (very high). I was on an introductory dose of statins, and now my GP is doubling the dose. I know this sounds silly, but I'm feeling very fragile today.

I followed the exact pattern with the blood tests, eg when stopped taking medication and exact time of blood test as previous one 🤷‍♀️ I feel very jittery inside these days, not sure if that’s connected, many thanks in advance for any help

Gp says no more & did blood tests. FBC normal apart from low WBC 1.3. B12 high but low iron. No idea why b12 injections were started in the first place just that my level was 130. I attach his reply to me.

I have had CT scan snd blood tests. I am getting these most days snd my legs feel tingly. I have had a lot of stress lately so thinking it’s the anxiety of that. Can someone please tell me how to deal with this through their own experience? It is all making me panic. Thanks.

I wouldn't empty properly and they're be a burning before and after urination.Since then, I've had blood tests, prostate checks, urine tests and more recently an ultrasound scan. All have come back negative (and healthy).

His blood tests for JAK2 have been 0.4 % and when he had a bone marrow biopsy done the report came back as no detection of JAK2. Has anyone had a situation where the blood and bone marrow show different levels of JAK2? If so which would be more accurate? Thank you Kim
