A lot depends why you were prescribed the Bisoprolol . Was it to lower HR, to lower BP or to treat Heart Insufficiency (the more accurate term for Heart Failure as the heart has not actually failed) . Alternatives depend very much on this. A friend's wife is on an alternative beta blocker but it is in short supply made worse by Brexit!
Thank you so much for clarity, I was advised that according to 24 ECG Monotoring , my heart rate was 11% Faster in my Lower Chamber Heart
Thank you
it sounds like another beta blocker would be appropriate, You need to talk to your GP at the earliest opportunity. Ig f the headache is severe ring 111 who can put you on to an out-of-hours GP.
I am prescribed Ivabradine to lower my heartrate as I cannot take beta blockers, they make my coronary vasospasms, migraine and Raynauds Phenomenon worse.
I suggest you discuss with your Cardiologist or GP an alternative medication.
We can't advise you as we are not experts. You would need to talk to your cardiologist or GP
I changed from Bisoprolol to Nebivolol and have been fine. I had to discuss it with the cardiologist first though.

Calcium channel blockers. I take dilatezem
Yes, ask your GP. He should should replace it with something else without question.
It depends on what you are taking the bisoprolol for. I used to take it for arrhythmia; today I take propranolol in lieu of it, which I tolerate much better. In all, ask your GP.
Thank you
Hi im having the same problem severe headaches and tiredness in the day 12 stents 3 heart attacks feel knackered been on this crap before but didn't reliaze which drug was doing this reported to my gp ages ago and still no help
I asked for medication advice from the Practice Pharmacist, raised as an admin request. My thinking was they would be more accessible (and possibly more specifically knowledgeable) than my GP (whomever that was at that time.....rarely the same person twice). It would be a route I would use again.
I would also ask for ideas from my Dispensing Pharmacist (note the difference) to help form ongoing queries and discussions.
I have been taking bisopherol for years then I changed pharmacy and had a different brown packaging one I became ill with headaches and dizziness after a few weeks of trying other tablets I went back to the original pharmacy and was ok on the blue packet the doctor recommended that and I am fine
