Very relieved .......
I am very relieved to say that the results of the
biopsy
from my recent endoscopy querying suspected Barretts have come back as negative. All other
biopsy
also clear. I know I am extremely lucky , it has been a very worrying time and it was such a relief to be able to tell my son as well.

Ureaplasma infection?
I’m now due to start a dummy cycle with a
biopsy
too included to check for more info on the infection…but dreading another bout in hospital especially since I ended up in the hospital for a week after fibroids surgery! Is this common? Has anyone had this?

ANCA vasculitis & kidneys
I see that there are blood tests and
biopsy
to diagnose, and quite a hefty treatment. Has anyone with CKD or on dialysis ever run across this ANCA vasculitus? Thanks. On HD 3 times weekly.

Ultra sound carried out on Feb 2023 I was told by radiologist I had multiple nodules but a fine needle

was never carried out. Thyroid removed Jan 24, diagnosed tall cell variant April 24.

Really good news
Fast Forward to a
biopsy
I had last month (following over six months of abstinence from alcohol and lots of lifestyle changes) , it was normal only showing "very mild changes". My gastroenterologist puts this down to me quitting drinking. THERE IS HOPE :) :).

Had results but still confused 🤷🏻♀️
After having
biopsy
samples taken during an incomplete colonoscopy back on 20th Jan and then having the CT pneumocolon on 8th Feb I have finally had the results read out to me by the med sec….not sure if it’s left me with more questions rather than answers 🤷🏻♀️ The
biopsy
results show inflammation

Looking for medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Although I think Fox Chase Cancer center in Philadelphia is a fine hospital, I decided to switch to Sloan Kettering in New York for my next round of MRI and
biopsy
. Does anyone have any suggestions for a doc to see there? Is there any type of more advanced MRI machine that I should request?

Chemo or clinical trial?
Am scheduled for bone
biopsy
of met(s) from my hip tomorrow. Stopped Pluvicto after #3 due to rising PSA and progression. Hoping to get next gen. sequencing from
biopsy
sample and (maybe) functional testing. But, it's going to take some time to get results and I feel I can't wait.

My Scan Story
Hi all...great info shared here that has helped me after my RP...I went from PSA of 2.4 in 2021 to a 4.91 in 10/23..Dr did a 12 core
biopsy
cause of 3 bro's and Dad all with PC. 2 cores came back with Gleason 7 and an 8. They did a PSMA test with nuclear dye that showed it confined to gland.

Does biopsy spread cancer?
Certainly e-coli can be pushed into it, since I got sepsis from my directed
biopsy
. What is the danger of METS being introduced to organs outside it with a
biopsy
?

Why are my platelets normal now with ET?
My bone marrow
biopsy
showed myeloid to erythroid ratio was 20:1 with dysplastic hyperbolated megakaryocytes that favor mylodesplastic syndrome/myelofroliferative disorders. I was never explained what that meant. I just didn’t know if anyone needed this information also.

What are the better treatments for metastasis of the bone and pelvic lymph nodes?
Just found out the past few weeks from a
biopsy
and a PET/CT scan that the cancer was not contained in the prostate but metastasized to the pelvic lymph nodes and the bones. Was a surprise to me and to the urologist as well.

Discoid lupus help please!
My initial "thing" was a small scaley patch on my eyebrow, which isn't typical looking of discoid lupus and only came up following
biopsy
. Well now I have a rather bigger "thing" come up on my face over night two days ago; not itchy or sore, just there.

A catchup on my hospital outcome
Unfortunately the
biopsy
was not clear it is confirmed I have adenocarcenoma of the lung. To be referred to oncology for radiotheraphy , if this makes me ill will just be left with palliative care treatment. So have to have physio in a fortnight then change over to oncology.

And now that “c” has shown up in Abdominal peritoneum … In a couple of “at present” visible spots on Auxium scan… Recommendation is to
biopsy
… and one Doc wants to do SBRT … the other wants Proton Bean… Would you consider Dr. Onik’s protocol at this point b4 radiation?

Kidney biopsy confirms active GPA
Due to the blood and protein in my pee I was referred to renal and had a kidney
biopsy
on Wednesday of this week. It has been confirmed that my vasculitis is active in the kidneys. I am due to have bloods and a chest x-ray on Friday before any infusion can commence.
