A catchup on my hospital outcome

Hi everyone as promised a catch up on my visit to hospital on Wednesday. Unfortunately the biopsy was not clear it is confirmed I have adenocarcenoma of the lung. To be referred to oncology for radiotheraphy , if this makes me ill will just be left with palliative care treatment. So have to have physio in a fortnight then change over to oncology. Thought I should do this before tomorrow as I am having a cataract op tomorrow afternoon. so my vision might be a little misty over the weekend. Enjoy your weekend all catch up with things next week. Keep as well as can be.

If things are caught early they can easily be treated but still it's a shock getting told you have cancer even though you have suspected it for ages!

oh Katie.

You don’t do things by half do you.

I’m sorry but if the radiotherapy doesn’t work they will just leave you. I don’t think that’s good enough. What about Chemo or even removing the lung. They can’t just say I’ve tried that and tough we won’t do any more. You need your boxing gloves on hon.

Right that’s my rant over. I probably don’t know what I’m talking about anyway but dont just throw in the gloves.

You take it easy and let us know what’s going on.

I had both my eyes done and I hated it. I was so stressed they wouldn’t let me home because of my blood pressure. Then I had another one done. Not quite as bad. You’ll be fine. I’m just a wuss. 🤣

Thanks for your reply Mavary , how are you keeping these days? That's the first one over actually my sight is quite clear this morning, just a little low level pain but the drops even with a special dropper still seem to be coming out rather runny and going down my face and I shook the bottle as instructed. In respect of the cancer treatment its taken 6 months to get this far at present they are just conscentrating on the smallest which could maybe be cured . But I myself and my granddaughter know the odds are not good hence the suggestion of palliative so soon , radiotheraphy is used to ease symptoms even for terminal patients. My freind brought me a rose its called Thank you. Lovely orangy red colour. Its a reminder of all the help I have given her over a long time. Hope you have a nice Sunday its lovely and sunny here. 🤩

Hi Katie never say never. My hairdresser had stage 4 cancer and my Cousin had stage 4 cancer too. They’ve both survived and beat it. They have an injection just come out for cancer. It seeks out the rogue cells and destroys them. I don’t know if it’s for all cancers but a man ha had the injection for prostrate cancer. It’s worth looking into. It’s something for some hope. Don’t just give up. Xxx
