hello, that is great that you have a biopsy coming up and I hope it gives you any answers you need ❤️ I won’t sugar coat it, I found mine very painful, but I’ve also read lots of stories on here of people only having mild discomfort. It’s also over and done with very quickly (10 seconds), they also offered me gas and air, so if that’s an option for your clinic that could help (I didn’t like it though, just felt dizzy!) overall, it’s absolutely worth the short amount of pain to get answers or rule things out xx

Thank you so much - I’m glad it’s only 10 seconds as the Hycosy felt like forever. I’ll deffo take any gas and air 🤣 good luck with your wait 🤞🏼♥️ xx

Hey lovely,

So I had a HyCosy done and it was super painful so I was really worried about the uterine biopsy. It was waaaaaaay less painful. You do feel a nip and TBH it's just more uncomfortable and a bit yukky if you know what I mean?

I took a cocodamol before hand and it really took the edge off. If you made it through the HyCosy then you'll be fine with this one.

Also it takes a few seconds so it really is ok. You've got this! x

Thank you Millbanks 100% will take cocodamol - i actually took a diazepam before my hycosy as I was SOOO anxious 🤣😬 and I was pretty out of it but the pain was still bad - glad the biopsy isn’t as bad. Thank you ♥️

Hope your biopsy appointment goes well As posts says take some painkillers before hand and that should help The discomfort should settle quite quicky and take it easy after the examination

Hi,

I’ve had both of these done and the hycosy was waaaaayyyyyy worse!

The biopsy itself I don’t think hurts at all, it was the speculum they put in that was uncomfortable I would say. But I’d compare it to having a smear.

Hope all goes well xxxx

I guess everyone is different, I didn't find the HyCosy that bad but the biopsy....my god. It was soooo painful but luckily only 10 seconds!! Make sure you take some pain relief 30 mins before. Who knows though, you might be someone that doesn't find it too uncomfortable!!

Good luck :) x
