Hi all I’m sure this has been asked before but as a newbie to LCHF I’m afraid I am going to ask. Will this plan not increase my cholesterol? Reason for q I have high cholesterol it is a family trait. After refusing for years at my last face to face with my dr I gave in and started taking statins. Mainly

Statins
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else might be having problems with Statins? I'm currently taking 1x 10mg of Rosuvastatin a day and I have the feeling that it's making me ill. I wake up most morning shaking inside and my anxiety is now kicking in. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers. Paul

Wonder if anybody has had the same experience as me - I was recently admitted to hospital for a severe asthma attack and when they done a blood test they said my TSH was high and to get another blood test when I was discharged to get it double checked and perhaps make a appointment with the consultant

Antihypertensive drugs & PCa-specific mortality
New study from Finland [1]. This topic has been raised before. "Antihypertensive drug use overall was associated with an increased risk of PCa-specific death (Pre-PCa: 1.21...). "With respect to the separate drug groups, angiotensin II type 1 receptor (ATr) blockers, were associated with improved survival

Hi all, I'm taking aspirin, statins, beta blockers and nitrates for my unstable angina. I was told to keep a check on my blood pressure and make sure it stays around 130/80. It started off ok, but now the systolic in getting down to between 110 and 120. The diastolic is hovering around the 80 mark.

More pain relief at last
Today I spoke to my gp about my unstable angina pain. Fortunately, I can increase my dosage of pentaeritritil tetranitrate. I still have the dilemma of getting ALL the necessary tests, but it's a step in the right direction. Aspirin cardio helping. Statins helping (I hope) only further tests will confirm

Twitching of legs
Hi All I have been suffering of permanent AF for long time, controlled (not well) with Bisoprolol, Apixaban and Telmisartan and Statins. Recently I noted frequent twitching of my legs. Can it be connected with AF or the medicines or not? Anyone have experienced that? Many thanks.

Catarrh while taking Apixaban
Hi. Maybe this is a long shot but for the last 12 month I suffer sinus problems mostly during the night. Lately with throat catarrh. I eliminated statins and blood pressure tablets thinking it could be that but can’t stop Apixaban to find out if this is causing it. Does anyone have or had the same

Oral thrush eventually successful treatment
Hi, someone mentioned thrush in another post, and I thought it might be useful to share info about oral thrush and eventually successful treatment: The docs changed my inhalers for asthma, I got a rotten dose of oral thrush because apparently new inhaler had smaller particles that stay on the tongue
