Zoladex and HRT
Spoke to surgeonSo my surgeon rang yesterday and explained why they aborted the hysterectomy on Tuesday. He said my cervix was fused to my bowel and possibly left ovary and my rectum had been pulled down too. He said it looked to be endometriosis that had been there a long, long time and they wouldn't

is there anything I should be aware of when taking both? I suspect my doctor will be suggesting I take statins this afternoon in our telephone appointment due to blood test results.

statins & underactive thyroid
I had a cholesterol reading of 6.9 and was told this is too high. The nurse asked how I felt about going on statins although she said I am low risk due to my lifestyle & diet. I’m not keen on going on statins because I heard that they are not good to take if you have an underactive thyroid. Also was

CT Scan - Angiogram not done
I am being investigated for Angina, symptoms mild, but there is a family history. Currently on Statins, Asprin and Beta-blocker. I was booked for a CT Cardiac Gated Complex Congenital with Contrast. I arrived, got in the donut had the first scan - described as "simple of the heart" - then nurse came

I am on 20mg of atorvastatin and I understand that's not good for RLS. I'm sure I've read in the past that there is a statin that is ok for us sufferers but can't remember the name. Could anyone help with that please.

Statins and stomach cramps .
After results of a blood test in October 2022 my Dr advised me to start taking one Altorovastatin 20mg tablet daily . I am a 70yr old male and I have never taken statins before . I took the tablets for 4 weeks then had to stop taking them due to unbearable excruciating stomach cramps that prevented

Hi, I recently had a fall and as a result I went to hospital where blood tests, X-rays and scan were done. I had 2 broken ribs. But the blood test results came directly to my phone. One of the tests were ‘out of range’ the mmol/l cholesterol result was 0.8. My question is the very low cholesterol good

Another meds review (statins)
Just had another meds review with the GP Clinician/Pharmacist. He is pretty certain I am showing signs of statin intolerance. I stopped Rosuvastatin last week owing to awful leg pains which hsve subsided since stopping. He did explain that for someone with history of HA that statins were important but

Atorvastatin
I had been resisting my GPs' calls to take statins for some years having pointed out to them that although they were saying a total cholesterol level around 6 was too high the ratio of HDL to LDL was good. About eighteen months ago I acquiesceded and started taking Atorvastatin. However, l was hospitalised

Anxiety
Hi, I'm 67 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in my early 50s. A couple of years ago I was started on Atorvastatin for raised cholesterol and suffered anxiety, which went away when I came off the medication. I was then started on Rosuvastatin and after a few months developed anxiety again. However

Statin Side Effects
Hi I have been on statins for many years now and for about 12 months I have been feeling quite generally unwell occasionally. Mainly weak, achy, shaky & sometimes upset stomach. I’ve had blood tests & calcium levels are found to be raised. GP said that statins wouldn’t cause high calcium levels,
