Re; Statin
Following an audio call with my GP I am now off the statins (Atorvastatin) for a month. Hopefully no more leg pains. Follow up to see how to go forward. Fingers crossed 🤞

Statins Heart Attack
I was on astrovastation 80mg and have changed to Rosuvastatin 40mg. Is anyone who has had a heart attack on less dosage than these? GP said I need to be on this dosage as prevention? Overall cholesterol is 2.6.

Slight swelling and pain in right hand one week post angiogram procedure. Should I be worried?
My procedure went well and I didn’t require a stent which is good news. I’m only needing to take statins. However 5 days post procedure I noticed the swelling on my forearm just above wrist ( opposite side of wrist to the wound site which is healing well). I did rest it post procedure followed all guidance

Long running saga which sorry for expletives in advance is really getting on my TITS now. You know that feeling when you begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel and some bastard pinches the bulb or forgets to put money in the meter. So I haven' felt 100% for years but you know how women

Statins Yes or No
Hi, I can only speak for myself and tell u what I was told as I have no medical knowledge. I have been on Statins since my HA nearly 4 yrs ago and I too get aches and pains in legs and arms. I believe statins keep the cholesterol down? I’m not sure you can or should come off of them? Your Dr will help

Statins
Just had my recent blood results and all are good with no action required. It’s been two and half years since my HA,Stent and followed by triple bypass and I have been on statins one type or another since then. Despite not having high cholesterol (currently 4.3) I have had increasingly painful legs especially

Another Medichecks set of results for your expertise please as my brain fog can't make sense of them.
My TSH results through my GP swing from 0.03 mu/L to 8 mu/L over the years and back. In November 21 result was 0.0 mu/L and I was on 150/125 Levothyroxine alternate days. GP decided I should reduce dosage and put me down to 125 mg and retested in January when it came back as 0.1 mu/L so reduced me again

Aching muscles
Hello all you very knowledgeable kidney experts. Can anyone shed any light on aching muscles. I have Dense deposit disease. (auto immune kidney disease). I think I'm about stage 3b now. My cholesterol has been very high due to the condition but I have been taking statins and it has dropped from 10.5

Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (Inherited High Cholesterol) alias FH
Out of interest, for those who have been actually told they have FH, I thought it would be interesting to know what their cholesterol levels were before they were presumably prescribed medication. I found I had a natural cholesterol level of between 9 and 10 over 20 years ago and have been taking statins

12th Trip to Resus with different outcome
Hi. I am new to this forum. I hope I can find some info about my ongoing heart problems experience. 5 years ago I had my 1st trip to Resus with a heart rate of 200bpm. I was given a bid single dose of amiodarone and HR dropped to normal fairly quickly. I then stayed in the cardiac unit for 4 days

Is it common to get chest pains with thyroid problems?
I saw a post today from someone who was having chest pain with their thyroid problem and was wondering if my pain could indicate I have the same. I have been in A&E today for the second time in 10 days with ongoing short, sharp pain on the left hand side of my chest with palpitations. Last week they
