Going "Hidden"
A number of people have posted, particularly about the side effects of statins, and then gone "Hidden". If any of them reads this please can they explain why?

Vitamin K2 with meds
Any experts on vitamins know much about the connection between taking statins (atorvastatin) asperin and vitamin K2 . The more you read the more complex it gets. Vit k2 may get depleted when on statins and is also good for clearing plaque BUT k2 supplements may act against the aspirin as they can be

Statins with ckd4?
I've been advised to take 20mg of statins but I am worried about the effect on my kidneys (CKD 4). Has anyone taken them? I know that my renal team wouldn't let me have them if I was in any danger and I understand that I am more at risk for heart failure or attack but would like your experiences with

Dear friends, I have a ‘what would you do’ scenario that I’d really love your help with, please.
A short update for those following - When I saw my haematologist last week it was quite unpleasant, I think her impatience was due to her ridiculous workload or her frustration that she can’t really guide me. I dared not question her words or ask too many Q’s, I left it at a couple, one of them was re

No adverse effect from the covid vaccine to my PSA
Discussing the subject here some time ago with another member, I promised reporting and this is all about. Two months ago I had a comprehensive blood test which was repeated today. In the interim period I had the two shots of the Pfizer covid vaccine. My former PSA of 0.12 was found today a bit lower

Red Rice Yeast
My cardiologist recommended taking red rice yeast as I think it was one of those products he’s getting a commission for. My cholesterol is just over the limit but I am reading that red rice yeast can have side effects like statins. Natures best won’t sell it as they say you can’t guarantee an accurate

Statin and liver damage?
I came online to see if anyone had odd liver tests from statins. Specifically atorvastatin. I had to go for an abdominal scan today and had a lot of blood tests, I’m on 40 mg of atorvastatin. And have been on them for nearly a year since I found out I had HD and had a stent last summer. I only had LFT

Atorvastatin and Abnormal Liver Function Tests
Having tried Atorvastatin at 80mg and then 20mg which worked great for my cholesterol levels but both caused abnormal liver function tests which now following a six week lay off without statins have returned to normal. Urine Flow
Not the greatest of questions, has anyone had reduced urine flow while on basic heart meds [ statins, Ramipril, bisoprolol, aspirin etc ] and being a man of 63 I have just had my prostrate cancer tests, { neg }. I have really noticed a reduction in the flow power not the amount as I’m on co-amilofruse

Down Day
Having a down day, guessing everyone has them. Had quite a painful episode of angina yesterday. Was an hour late taking the Isorobide Mononitrate and the angina kicked in as I nipped to the loo and back. This is the thing that’s keeping me going. I felt really sick with the episode. But had taken the

Tooth Extraction
I have a broken tooth that needs extraction, problem is that I had a HA in Dec 20 and two stents in LAD. Now on blood thinners and beta blockers and statins for at least one year. Has anyone had had a tooth extracted whilst on these tablets?

Coronary vasospasm - palpitations at night
I was diagnosed with coronary vasospasm in hospital following a cardiac arrest at home in January this year. I was put on lots of medication including statins, calcium channel blocker, nitrates, aspirin etc. I had been doing well since February with no real symptoms but woke up last night with palpitations
