Going "Hidden"

A number of people have posted, particularly about the side effects of statins, and then gone "Hidden". If any of them reads this please can they explain why?

I am not sure why you wish them to explain Michael - I think all of us are pretty well up on the pros and cons of statins. It is not such an easy question to answer as the differential effect it has on each individual is well documented. I have been on 10mg for over a decade but get painful muscle aches from time to time. I do no like taking them but each individual needs to make their own decision and assess that decision as new and more up todate medical info becomes available. As my Cholesterol balance has remained at 1.7 - 1.9 for 10 years, my personal choice is to tolerate periodic adverse side effects. Person "B" may feel differently and not be able to tolerate this drug. I am not sure whether I was one of your "hidden" individuals. As my main concern is my Prinzmetal / CAS condition and spend more time now on those help groups. I hope you are stable and much better now.

I am not questioning their views here Ian but why they hide their ID and profile.

Sadly I am not SmileyMichaelJH as the issues of a few months ago remain unresolved.

I am very sorry to hear that Michael but hope you have the necessary medical support and of course the practical help you obviously need ongoing. I hope you have a pleasant summer in UK. Talk again.

Michael I think think people appear as “Hidden” when they close their account and leave

Hi Michael, I am not sure why anyone would want to hide what they write on here, but everyone to their own. How is the healing process going, are you able to carry on with your training now. Take care. Ruth

Hi Ruth... Sadly the issues of a few months ago continue. Bean counters have currently suspended my amputee physio as I cannot use the prothesis because of the stump injury. The injury is now in week 16 and will be reviewed in three weeks. Cheers, Michael...

I'm sorry to hear that Michael. I really hope you get the help you need! :)

Probably because these Posters simply just like to think that their views are right and when anyone gives a different opinion they can't take it! I agree though, it can be annoying! PS: I do wonder where the 'Data Protection Act' comes into force on here too!

Hi Michael, hand up here. I posted, had a reply and then wanted to change my email. For some reason it wouldn’t accept it in my account so I deleted it and opened a new one I also used a different user name. I asked if anyone had a complete personality change on Statins as my Wife was so concerned she started keeping a diary for the past year and taking photos of me because I looked so ill, it’s taken some time looking back over the years to realise it was the Statin plus after my last try on a halved dose we’re 100% it’s definitely that so I’m off them now and I look and feel so much better no more Mr 😤. I couldn’t find anywhere online apart from American websites that confirmed anger/ aggression being a side effect, my Wife thinks it’s not something that everyone would be comfortable admitting to.

Hi Britvic57. Well Done for admitting it then and telling us. Have to say though, I did notice that last night, (I usually go through most of the E-Mails at Night, when I get time), and noticed that you had posted and then became Hidden. Please don't take offence but felt that should be pointed out! :)

in reply to

Hi, no offence. I changed my email address and didn’t realise I’d disappear, I’m a novice but I’m sure I’ll improve 🙂

in reply to

Oh, I am so glad you didn't take offence then :) Of course you will improve, I'm still learning now and been on here quite a while lol. I'm sure you will find this Site very helpful as well!!

in reply to

Of course not and yes I’m finding it very helpful there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here 🙂
