Any other non-UK fertility warriors??

Hey y’all!

I joined this after reading through some posts. I’m probably the only non-UK member. I live in Austin, Texas! Howdy y’all.. haha!

So my history.. I have one daughter conceived naturally 5 years ago, she’s 4 now. We’ve been TTC for 2 years now. We had a couple chemical pregnancies and one with weird bleeding which is when I went to my Ob/Gyn to do some tests February 2019. I found out a couple days later I had low AMH (.72 -your numbers are different so that’s for USA).

We’ve done 2 IUIs that failed and 1 IVF cycle that also failed. For IVF they collected 7 eggs, 7 mature, 5 fertilized, none made it to blastocysts.

I’m taking a break until February or March. Taking more supplements like CoQ10, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Melatonin. I have DHEA but have heard mixed things..??

I’m also trying to be healthier and also reading and following “It Starts with the Egg”.

Anyone go from no blastocysts to at least 1 in a second cycle? What’d you do differently? I’m so scared to do this again!

Thanks!! ❤️

Hi, I went from zero blasts in Dec18 to six in this year.

I was advised by my new clinic to add CoQ-10, and omega-three to my supplements (was already taking preconception multivitamin, and vit D). I also started to take royal jelly and bee propolis. DHEA should be taken based on blood results, as it’s not suitable for everyone. My husband was advised to take zinc and selenium as the embryos all stalled at D3 and the sperm is likely to play a part there. He was also told to avoid hot showers and baths, wear loose underwear and not to do any activities like cycling.

I swapped clinics as I think I was over stimulated at my previous clinic and my EC happened later than it should have done. I have endometriosis so my eggs aren’t the best quality to start with so I need the right protocol. My new clinic did a batching cycle where I had two back to back cycles of stims to collect as many eggs as they can. These were grown to D3 and then frozen until my FET. At the time of my FET all 12 D3 embryos were thawed and allowed to develop to blast. 6 of them made it.

Hope that helps!
