No More Prednisone
I gained weight and subsequently became depressed ( this was scary stuff), had a stomach ache which was awful but was relieved by eating (more weight gain), but the worst thing was the insomnia. On top of the prednisone I was taking medication for ulcer type pain, an antidepressant and sleeping pills

Round 3 is about to begin 🤞🏼 3rd time lucky 🍀 🌈
So I’m on my cycle before I start the new meds and I’ve been put on melatonin which sent me to sleep at 7:30pm last night 🤣 I don’t actually have problems with sleeping but the consultant said it improves egg quality. This is going to be a different round for me. It will still be short protocol but

Big problem sleeping 😣
Hi everyone, I'm new to this community. I'm struggling bad with insomnia. It's anxiety and I'm laying here going out of my mind thinking about all kinds of things and it drives me insane. I've tried meds and melatonin. Am I going to live without sleeping the rest of my life. It's insanity!

Anyone used Melatonin to help with sleep issues? Having difficulty in getting back to sleep after 3 or 4 nightly toilet visits. Dr suggests that I try 2mg Melatonin for 13 weeks but not too sure if that will knock me out, and end up causing more issues if I don't wake to go to the toilet!!! Any comments

Quietipine -Reaction
I have been on Quietipine ,along with melatonin tabs for chronic insomnia for over a year. The dose of Quietipine was increased by my doctor from 25 mg to 50mg since 25 wasn’t really working. I suddenly realised that my BP had risen phenomenally along with a mild nagging headache and I can only relate

Insomniac maniac
I've suffered from insomnia for almost 10 years..and I'm beginning to think its been longer than that reflecting on my childhood years. My psychiatrist has put me on tons of different medicine, starting with the oh so practical melatonin. Every milligram you can think of, rapid release, every dose and

Lack of sleep
Lately I’ve been struggling to sleep straight through the night or get a restful nights sleep. Everytime I close my eyes I am envisioning something bad happening and In turn end up constantly scared at night. Or I wake up in the middle of the night with racing thoughts and can’t quiet my mind down.

Insomnia from Pred or Lack of Melatonin?
My Mum has lost all light perception due to late diagnosis of GCA. I have been tapering her Pred dose and she is currently on 20mg. Her attitude is still outstanding - very brave and wonderful - but of course (!!!!!) a new problem confronts her - waking at 2-3 am and just lying in bed awake. She has

I've been running for 10 weeks and have graduated from the excellent couch to 5k program. My Fitbit told me my average sleep had increased by 25 minutes per night which is a massive bonus. I have started taking Melatonin at 8pm every night and getting into bed at 9 to 9.30PM. I have no issue going to

Insomnia making anxiety worse!!
I’ve been having trouble sleeping the past couple nights. Last night got 3.5 hrs of sleep. So tonight I had hoped I’d pass out no problem. That wasn’t the case. So I broke a 10 mg tab of melatonin in half and took it in hopes it would help. Now worried about possible drug interactions as I take 5 mg

Best sleep remedy for advancing PD?
My mother suffers from a vascular Parkinson's and is becoming increasingly confused. I am aware that the centers for PD and Alzheimer's are neighbors in the brain and therefore one illness will almost inevitably spill over into the other. As this is now happening, insomnia has become a recurring feature
