Hi, I want to try this, does anybody do a low-carb diet? Obviously I know its self explanatory to just have low carbs but is it really beneficial for weight loss? Also, can anybody give me ideas or low-carb meals? Thanks guys :D

Maybe paroxetine for menopause
Newly approved, maybe this will work for those of you out there needing something. I believe it helps for hot flashes and sleep. Check it out!...Meaning check with your physician. It may also help with mood?

Long-term tinnitus problem. Any help/advice please
Hello all, this is my first post on here. I have had a form of tinnitus for almost two and a half years now, and the medical professional seems incapable of diagnosing or treating the problem. I have been to several GPs, had an MRI scan (clear) and last month finally got to see a specialist after a ten-month

Sunday weigh in 26th February 2017
Welcome to our weigh-in on Sunday 26th February 2017. We hope that you've all had a good week and are pleased with the results on the scales. If this isn't the case, don't get despondent, weight loss isn't linear and we're all human. Think of where things may have slipped a little. If you're

L-Glutamine and Hashimoto
Hello everyone, I have recently came across a story of my friend's friend who had completely got off medications he was taking for Hashimoto. He put himself on a gluten free diet, L-Glutamine and some other supplements. He says that the main ingredient that helped him was L-Glutamine. Could you please

vocal tics?/ anxiety/gag reflex
Hi, so this started two years ago for me. Whenever i would get stressed, too excited, sing or play a sport i would start to gag. I would stop that urge to gag by doing what i think is a vocal tic that you can of course hear me doing. This totally ruined my life because singing and sports were always

Between a rock and a hard place
My sister has always been slim but now it's to slim. She talks about her weight a lot to me and she almost gloats about it to me and in some ways as horrible as it sounds I think she may be dramatizing her state with her anorexia because she has dramatized any illness in the past. But I can't just assume

What a joyful day...
Hi to all, Today I started with a 3km walk and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I provided some enjoyment to the people at the community centre who could not work out what was happening. They must have thought that there was a confused old lady or perhaps a lady not able to make up here mind which way

Every muscle hurts, I hold myself rigid!
Hi Everyone, As my title I seem to hold my body rigid without even realising it. And I think consequently that's why all my muscles hurt. My jaw, Neck, back, arms ,legs and even the bottoms of my feet. Every day I hurt, it makes me tired, dizzy and sick. I have had every test , including a brain scan. So

B12 and Trigeminal Neuralgia
My story follows the usual pattern. Two years, 7 GP’s, 5 consultants, a dozen or more blood tests, 2 ECG’s, 2 chest x-rays, 1 nerve conduction test, 1 hearing test and 1 brain MRI (involving 2 flights to Glasgow paid for by the NHS) only to turn full circle to arrive at a diagnosis of Vitamin B12

Weight loss on dead point
The scales is not mobing neither up neither down. I have installed a new app which i love called fitbit. It gave me an estimate of 1200 cal if i want to drop 0,3 kg a week which i thought is doable, but no progress yet. I might be calculating wrong my calories. I am doing fitness pilates twice a week

Tooth implant and antibodies
Two years ago i had a failed tooth implant. I did not know then what i know now, thanks to my endo referring me to this website. Today i read a caption in the science museum that stated that our immune system would eventually accept a foreign body such as a hip replacement. I wonder if this is still

Hearing aid experience/recommendations?
I recently went along to a BTA support group for the first time (I highly recommend going!). One of the key learnings from many I spoke to was that a hearing aid can really help, especially when you're having a T spike. I got referred by my GP to our local ENT team and was lucky enough to be seen by
