Binge eating disorder
I am pretty sure I have
binge
eating
disorder and have done for some time. I feel so much shame and embarassment and feel people won't understand, I feel like I need help as food and worrying about food has taken up far too much of my life now

Well I have had a very bust couple weeks. Helped out at work in the cold and Xmas on the way and to top it my daughter in law was rushed into emergency surgery. So food has been the last thing to worry about. Hospital food isn't that healthy surprisingly. You would think that they would have some access

Hello. I have struggled with being over weight for about 20 years. I have lost weight in the past but gain again after a while. I have had lots of support here before too. I have now gotten into a really bad mind set where I eat very little but very sugary food. I will start with porridge for breakfast

lemon sole with a chive sauce .
pan fried the fish two minutes each side in a little olive oil . Nice with a chive sauce over , used sour cream and a Dijon mustard (1/2 tsp) plus chives . No bones in the fish at M&S . My main meal today at 1330 . Is it better to have a smaller meal at 1730 than lunchtime to lose weight ? Thanks

I have almost 2 pounds away lost six stone.
I wanted to share something I have been doing and learnt through my attendance at over eaters anonymous. In OA I heard it said that if you are anorexic you dont need to overeat to gain the weight back you just have to eat normally and that it is also true that if you have gained a lot of weight through

short release vs fast release meds ??
The fast release I found I had a suppressed appetite that was manageable as I have struggled with
binge
eating
in the past also and was very happy that I was not over eating anymore.

Has anyone here gotten weight restored on their own without going to a nutritionist or eating disorder center?
I have anorexia nervosa and I have been to several treatment centers and seen several nutritionists in my life. They have never helped me as far as yes they help me gain the weight but then I don't end up getting my mind changed any even with all the psychotherapy so it ends up doing me no good. What

Feels like my
eating
disorders are back, just going between
binge

and not eating. I feel like a whale and out of control. I suspect I have ADHD and I’m waiting for my appointment, my GP referred me.

Has anyone recovered from anorexia on their own meaning at home without going inpatient or without seeing a dietitian?
I was hoping somebody here has recovered from anorexia and done it on their own without having been in a treatment center or having a nutritionist tell them how to gain weight. I was severely underweight a few years ago and I gained the weight on my own without any nutritionist and I did wonderfully

Is there anyone who would like to mentor a struggling anorexic - me?
I am looking for somebody who can help me be a inspiration and be a mentor to me for my anorexia. I have had this disease for now for over 20 years and I've had all the experts, drs, counselors, and inpatient treatment programs that you can get. They never helped do anything with my mind, they only got

I am now on 15mg norspan patch, this is keeping the leg at a bearable level. I still have to fight the tugging and pulling 24/7 but it is not so severe that I want to end it all when the patch is on. They seem to have given up now and not trying anything else. I have arranged nerve conduction studies

Help. What can I do?
I have a relative who is anorexic and in recovery. I buy in calorie laden food for them and am trying to lose weight, live alone and am struggling with this problem. Can anyone suggest what to do as I keep the food in a cupboard away from the kitchen but still eat it and my weight is going up not down

Well the acupunture doesn't seem to be helping at this stage, have stopped it and trying reflexology and Low level laser therapy. The GP put me on 20mg Norspan patch from 15....it didn't seem to change the effect on my legs at the higher dose but it made me quite nauseated and sweaty and tired on higher

ADHD meds might have made my son worse?
But I started to see anger and
binge
eating
. The issues at school started right back up too. We then tried Ritilan that was a no go as well. Then we tried a long acting one that was ok but not great. So then afterwards we tried settera that did absolutely nothing.

Gp has put me on 20mg Norspan patches and I am having acupunture and reflexology as well. Shumbah has suggested applying the sesame oil on troublesome leg....I have started that and will keep you informed....I have only been doing it for a week, but I think it is having some effect. Upcoming cataract surgery
Hello, I am so grateful for this group and the information and advice I have gotten here. I hope someone can help me with this: I am having cataract surgery next week and wonder if any of the medications on this list, which they MAY use, would have an adverse effect on my RLS: ofloxacin (antibiotic
