am i relasping?
Hello, so sorry to hear you're going through such a tough time. Hope the surgery went well for you. As for the relapsing, you know better than any medical professional how you feel and the way the voice/behaviours can creep back in. Regardless of anything else, that will always be a reason to reach out for help. Eventhough I know that can be easier said than done. The wait until we are 'sick enough' very rarely comes. I hope this helps in some way for you. Take care the best you can right now x
Hi Horsemad, I agree with Learning2Live. You know how you feel and if you feel that the thoughts are intrusive or obsessive or affecting your quality of life I think asking for help is the best you can do. Maybe it will involve different doctors or sources of help. How did you reach your recovery status in 2016? I would love to learn what worked for you☮️
Hi - you are so wise to be wary of your mindset after something like surgery! Ana can be sneaky and it sounds like you're eating disorder is trying to tell you that you can't possibly be "sick" and "relapsing" if you are at a normal weight. THIS. IS. A. LIE. Something within you is aware that these thoughts and obsessions are dangerous for your long term wellbeing and that is the part to focus on right now. If possible, can you get more support through therapy or groups? I hope you are able to fight the relapse and make a string recovery!
i finally have an appointment today with primary mental health services. The refferal was put in in april but the GP sent the refferal to the wrong email adress so they had to resend it in july! X
Good luck!
