Spontaneous remission of some blood counts after Dx
This just is a question of curiosity I've discussed briefly before. If any members have seen something like this it would be interesting to know. I've asked two MPN Drs about it and all I hear is "it's complicated" and/or "things fluctuate". -- These plots show some counts and when I started aspirin

over pronunciated ankles
I've gone
back
through Couch 2 5k without
injury
and even indulged in a bit of Steve Cram action with the apre couch program. Did 7k on Wednesday and now the old ankles are giving me jip!

Here we go again
Then, serious
back
injury
in 2019 and I've done nothing, except get fat and unfit, for 4 years. I noticed that Skipton AC were going to start a group C25K every Thursday, so I joined (having run out of excuses long ago) and have just completed week one. Happy days.

Small victories…🙂🤞
I just wanted to share that today was my first full 5K run since an upper hamstring
injury
back
at the end of July. A long time not being able to run, lots of rehab exercises and a very gradual return (run/walk and then gradually building the distance up).

preservatives in B12
I have been reacting to subcutaneous SI and looking at what is in Panpharma B12 there is acetic acid sodium chloride sodium acetate. This is hydro. I have bought a lot of these and worry first if I can’t use them and secondly if all have this in them. Any advice please?

Keeping on keeping on
Whenever I have a set
back
with illness or
injury
I always come
back
to running but I have a terrible tendency to get stuck on running shorter distances. I will run 2.5-3k and feel quite comfortable but I'll keep putting off going longer distances. It's ridiculous. I did C25k in 2019.

Side effects of baby aspirin
I want to talk about the side effects of taking baby aspirin. I had been taking aspirin daily for more than a year on doctor's orders, and at the end of last year, I experienced eye problems and almost constant slight fatigue, especially after breakfast. In the eyes, especially in the right, strong

best tapering advice
I was diagnosed April 2023 PMR, after 2.5 months of severe pain in shoulders, back of neck and buttocks, then hands and wrists. I was started on 15mg which helped a lot, but never cleared up the inflammatory pain. After a month doctor advised 2 weeks at 12.5 followed by 2 weeks at 10. after the first

Injury Couch again!!! (Pulled calf , calf strain)
So I’m
back
on the
injury
couch. This seems to happen to me at least once a year! I do enough stretches, and running or rowing has never triggered this. But walking for longer periods is a trigger, then keeping me from running and rowing. Real bummer!

run with an injury or fix it
I’ve completed week 6 and even managed over thirty minutes of running for my last run however I have a recurring hamstring
injury
that keeps coming
back
. Do I carry on into week seven or fix my hamstring and repeat some of the earlier runs? Thanks in advance

Monsal Trail 10k
It had been 6 months since I ran 10k and I’ve only been
back
running post
injury
for 3 weeks. My hip started to complain at about 7.5k, but I eased back and managed to complete it without walking in a time of 1 hr 19, which is very slow for me, but I was pretty chuffed.

Tendon ruptures in hand due to long-term RA
I'm 67 and things have reached a chronic stage in my left, dominant hand due to several tendon ruptures affecting middle and ring fingers, which I can no longer extend. I'm now on the Orthopaedic surgeon's operating list, but I am very scared about how I will cope post-operatively, since I already have

Hip/groin injury holding me back
As I've progressed through to week 6, a hip/groin issue is seriously trying to hold me back. Even after taking a few days off and going back to a week 3 run, I'm finding just a couple of mins running causes a flare up and then following a run, its difficult to put weight on the leg in question until

WEEKLY CHAT: 6th- 12th May Back to basics 👟🏃🥈🎽
If you're stuck on the
injury
couch you have my every sympathy, but once you get
back
out there again it will almost be worth it, just for the sheer joy of being able to run again! Have a great week everyone.

Riddled with injuries!
However, when I got back from my hols, I attempted my usual route at home and my right knee decided to give in (another historic
injury
).

Your bespoke prayer poem on faith and hope
Prayer poem for Elisabeth Linsdon on faith, hope and love It is in this, my hour of serious illness That of faith I have most need Then lord, be there to support me To Nourish my broken body And my hungry soul to feed Let my Faith and hopebe there to strengthen me when weak When with dark skies of illness

Returning to running
When I stopped running initially I was only on week 3 and I think I would be able to run for 90 seconds so I’m tempted to just jump back in at week 3, but I don’t know if this could cause
injury
and if i’d be better just going right
back
to the beginning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Paraneoplastic Syndromes and MPNs
This is a very interesting article on a topic I have not seen before. It caught my attention as I recall some on the forum reporting Myasthenia Gravis along with the MPN. I have experience intermittent hypercalcemia, but I do not believe this is due to a Paraneoplastic Syndrome. https://www.mympnteam.com
