Making decisions and trying not be fearful

Last Saturday, I started Humira which for me personally makes me nervous. I have had two injections in my SI joint (left and right side) Over the last two weeks which I was hoping would be helpful. Have not notice any noticeable changes yet as it is still difficult to lay on either side while sleeping. Sleeping is a struggle, only 2 hour stretches if that.. probably because I am so uncomfortable. I have tried every sleep aid out there, nothing helps which is so frustrating. Recently my doctor gave me a consent for Medical Marijuana which if I really think about it is more natural than all of the drugs they prescribed for sleep, however I work in the Medical field and you are not allowed to use it, which is a problem unless I give up my job.

I know RA is a life long condition which every year it seems like there are different decisions to make, different drugs/more side effects. I just get overwhelmed and pray that these medicines don’t give me more conditions..

I Pray and Hope all of you are doing well, your advice and inspiration on this site always gives me great support. Thanks for all of your understanding ❤️

Hey Olmettig,

I have just started taking humira, I have been told that it can take up to 3 months to work. Hope it kicks in for you soon.

Maybe try taking a hot bath before bed? I know baths give me a lot of relief and also help sleep better xxx
