Advice on OA and RA
Have recently discovered I have arthritis- at the moment worst in left hip. (Advised by orthopedic surgeon to consider hip replacement surgery)Also recent blood tests for rheumatism showed RA/RF test 19.6 IU/ml (0.0-15.0) Is this another auto-immune attack relating to Hashimotos I wonder? Also I'm confused

Weight gain on actemra
I was diagnosed with giant cell
arteritis
in March of 2018 and have been on Prednisone medication ever since. I did not have a significant weight gain with the initial prednisone medication but since I started Actemra in November 2019 I've gained over 20 lb.

The ultimate irony: a physician who cannot figure out what is wrong with themselves. (PLEASE HELP)
In case it is relevant, my family history is significant for: Parkinson's (paternal grandfather) Temporal
Arteritis
(maternal grandmother) Ulcerative Colitis (father) Crohn's Disease (mother) I feel a little bit crazy because the conglomeration of symptoms I am experiencing is so bizarre

FLARE IN KNEES ONLY
Does PMR/GCA flare up in the knees? I started a taper from (3.5 to 3.0) 2 weeks ago. One week later, both knees became sore and weak. Right now it’s more pronounced in my left knee. Pain lasts all day, and even at night. Yesterday I saw a new rheumatologist - told me to go up to 10 mg pred and get

Why do some doctors have a hard time diagnosing fibromyalgia even when a patient has all the symptoms? My RA doctor was out and i had too see a different doctor that came to our city once a week too help out. I told him my symptoms and he knew immediately that i was suffering from fibro. 4 other doctors

Hello all! I’m writing on here to ask people’s opinion about trapeze hand surgery or any other wrist / hand surgery for arthritis! I’ve been referred for surgery but not sure how good the outcome could be!! So would appreciate if anyone can tell me of their experience or anything they know about this

Temporal Arteritis/GCA
Hello everyone, I'm 29 years old and have been having a bulging/swollen Temporal Artery for a few months now. It seems to get real bad when I exercise, it's hot or am stressed. It gets really really big and I can see and feel it pulsing really strong under my skin. It's not sore or tender that I can

Just joined, seeking advice...
Can anyone help? I have degenerative arthritis. New symptoms have developed. These include pins and needles in extremities, breathlessness, a tight chest and a dry cough that I cannot shake. Has anyone heard of anything similar before? Thank you.
