I found this fascinating article online which I thought I'd share. It is very similar to my current experience. https://www.arthritis-cure.co.uk/my-rheumatoid-arthritis-latest-news-and-experiences/

What else can cause Synovial thickening?
Hi everyone - This is my first post and I’m looking to pick your brains please 😊 I’ve had a difficult last year, starting with variable unilateral ptosis of my right eye, double/blurred vision, minor weakness of arms and extreme fatigue. This started in February 2019 and I’m not really much further

Diet in rheumatoid arthritis
I really want to change my diet for my RA. Does anyone have s list of good and bad RA foods? Of anything they've noticed.... or is it different for everyone?

Not polymyalgia!
After 5 years of taking steroids, gaining 2 stone and lots of pain, I was told that I had compressed fracture of lower spine and needed a knee replacement! Since stopping steroids I have lost 2 stone, told I have Osteoarthritis, less pain and feel much better. Linda

Continuance from my last post of both of my wrist
As I was just reading a few post on here a few minutes ago, I started to think after feeling what I’ve been feeling through both of my wrist along with everything else I’m feeling as well. Should I just tell my general practitioner that I want an appointment with a rheumatologist? I’m almost certain

Normal results but pain in joints
Hi, has anyone had normal x-ray, ultrasound and MRI results yet still experiencing joint pain? I was diagnosed with seronegative arthritis in September 2019 and was taking methatrexate, sulpasalazine and leflunomide with terrible side effects. But now consultant is saying that there is no inflammatory

Help!!
After diagnosed for R.A. 4 years ago, having infusions of Actemera, then Orincia, and taking all the usual oral meds, Methatrexate, plaquinal, prednisone, I’m getting worse. Loss of weight, and unsteadiness . Now, I’m being told I have Rheumatoid Vasculitis. What’s the test for this and treatment?

Confirmation of Sarcoidosis
I have Giant Cell
Arteritis
(in remission) and Polycythemia. I am taking Prednisone and Hydroxycarbamide. However over the past 18 months I have developed breathing problems. CT scan shows inflammation, red blotches on my skin, severe aching joints and fatigue and many other unexplained symptoms.

Giant cell arteritis: Always keep it in your head
I enjoyed this article, however, I generally like re-reading (and having) such reference material available... you may find it rudimentary. https://bpac.org.nz/BPJ/2013/June/arteritis.aspx?fbclid=IwAR1VB1nXoaSYx5WobYN6O8nurVnF2XhbU_VJ6hLfRc_f5WBpidvu1jv-DrY

Any Experience with Tocilizumab and GCA?
I am reading that it may reduce the likelihood of relapse and can reduce the long term dosage of Prednisone. Has anyone had experience with it, good or bad?

Tapering
Trying to taper - went from 5 to 4.5 using DSNS method. Was fair with new shoulder discomfort. Tried to go to 4 and couldn't move without pain and so stiff. Went back to 5 and felt better. Been 2.5 years since diagnosis. Guess I'll stay at 5. See rheumy next month and she wants me off or on methotrexate
