At the end of my tether.....
I am just exhausted here with pain and need some advice. I have psoriatic arthritis and what I now know as bouts of fibromyalgia. My feet have been in agony for years and now my knees and shoulders. I am on consentyx which has helped my skin but my joints are still in a lot of pain, constantly. During

Fibro diagnosis - and a prescription to do karate!
After having my NHS rheumatology appointment cancelled twice in three months, then unsuccessfully trying to get a private consultation (turned out the hospital I wanted to go to don't actually do private consultations), I finally got seen by a visiting rheumatologist at my local hospital this weekend

Location of pain
Hi everyone, I have been diagnosed with hip arthritis. Originally the pain was in the groin area and also thigh. It now seems to have progressed to the pain going further down to the knee and even below to the calf and shin. The knee and outer thigh gives the most pain. Would like to know where you

Is anyone still taking Co-proxamol pain killer?
Hi there I've just given some quotes to a journalist from the Mail on Sunday about my experience of having to stop taking co-proxamol when it was taken off the market as a regular pain killer used by many for managing different types of pain. At that time I was getting it as a named patient from my GP

How to tell if pain is PMR or arthritis
My GP SAYS ARTHRITIS pain is bone and heat at the pain location AND. PMR is muscle pain. Is this correct. I have osteoporosis. After I am up and about pain is just about gone. My Neurologist thinks my pred is way too high 17.5 and due to possible bad side effects I need to reduce weekly. I know what

NHS app health record says my GCA is minor!
I am somewhat disturbed to see this: 29 October 2021 Giant cell
arteritis
without polymyalgia rheumatica Significance: Minor Status: Active I was diagnosed around 4th October after a diagnosis of PMR a week earlier. This entry is after a temporal biopsy which came back negative.

Support pillow
Hi everyone. I have knee and hip arthritis, same side. I just can not get into a comfortable position in bed. Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the leg pillows and if they do really help. Thanks

Is it arthritis? What to do....
I am in my 5th year of PMR and am down to 1.5 mg prednisone. My last bloodwork looked good, so I felt confident in going from 2.5 to the current 1.5, over 2 months. I don't feel as if my PMR is returning but I do have lots of joint pain in the morning -- in my knees, hands and wrists. I suspect it

Very interesting
https://www.healthline.com/health/rheumatoid-arthritis/hormone-imbalance I've been feeling a lot better overall and can't help thinking that reaching the 4 month mark with hrt patches has something to do with it. Certain things also started to improve within about 3 weeks of restarting hydroxychloroquine

oh boy. If I get hurt physically does that set my immune system off?
I went skating and was careless. Cracked my helmet when I feel backwards and used my hand/wrist/arm to break my fall. So my fingers are all puffy and my wrist is swollen/sore etc. Before I had inflammatory arthritis I knew what to expect. But now I am wondering if this could this lead to a flare?

A Busybody’s Dilemma
My friend yesterday messaged me to say she was going for an emergency scan and believed
arteritis
had been mentioned as a possible diagnosis. On return she messaged me that there was no outcome from the scan but she would be having a biopsy.

All stuck together
Hello all. I have severe pain that's been progressing over the years. I have a lumbar stenosis and associated probs, and osteoarthritis. I ,like all of us , got used to pain being there all the time. I feel like all my internal bits are stuck together and nothing releases them . Does anyone feel /relate

GCA at young age?
I am able to explain where the pain is as it is very acute and concentrated on what I believe are the
arteritis
in my temple. After the scan the doctor gives me some steroids and says I need to see the day time clinic the next morning.
